Fix my gun What stock do I need for this custom 10/22

Hey all,

Last year I bought the parts for a custom 10/22, last week I finally got around to putting the gun together.

I'm on the brink of taking it to the range but the stock and buffer tube I picked are not compatible.

I didn't realize the buffer tube I picked wasn't typical, did not require a castle nut or anything. The stock is adjustable and fits perfectly but it has nothing to latch into so it just slides off.

After scratching my head (and resisting the urge to use epoxy) I figured that I needed to buy a fixed stock as opposed to this adjustable one. So I ordered one. It just came today (pictured in box) and it is way too big. WTF stock do I need for this buffer tube?

I am clearly missing something! Any help is appreciated.

You need a carbine buffer tube for that stock. If you want to use the tube you have, you need a fixed stock like an A2 stock. But, you'll need an adapter to use an A2 stock since your chassis has a carbine interface.

Better to just get a carbine buffer tube IMO
