Are FRTs legal in Canada?

Lol. Everyone here calls them FRTs but in reality it is an FRN. The FRN is a Firearm Reference Number that is on the Firearm Reference Table.

Forced Reset Triggers are 100% illegal in Canada, unfortunately.

To be pedantic, when people say “does it have FRT” they mean FRT entry.

I know but wouldn't it just make sense to say "does it have an FRN". It would be ridiculous to say "I'm going to check the FRT if the gun has a FRT" . It's like the Office episode when Kevin wanted to speak "shortly". Anyway, minor quirk that doesn't really mean anything in the grand scheme of things. It would be absolutely funny if these came with a Forced Reset Trigger and the idiots at the RCMP approved it 🤣

You are correct. I just say FRT as short for Firearms Reference Table Entry when I probably shouldn't.

This is indeed the sense in which I meant it lol.

In this context it means Firearm Reference Table basically a database by the RCMP of every single model and variant and their legal status. This one received a non restricted FRT entry recently. You can check out the FRT at https://www.armalytics.ca/
