Misc Makasi (FAL-AR hybrid) approved by the RCMP as NON-RESTRICTED

According to CGN it was granted a NR FRT #198428 very recently. Any BFL/verifiers here care to check?

Edit: Multiple BFLs have verified it to be true NR, and the importer/distributor is Gravel Agency

From the manufacturer's website:

The Makasi marries the functional aesthetic of the FAL with the familiar handling of AR-style controls. It features a short stroke gas piston system and bufferless recoil system and operates with a non-reciprocating side charging handle. The Para-style stock is also side-folding and is supported with a robust two-screw mounting system that allows for firing in both the folded and deployed positions.

Take what we can get. But this in 7.62x39 would help me get rid of my stockpile lol

They have a x39 version on their website but apparently not on the FRT (not declared by the importer) at the moment.

Dont know why, but the post and the way its worded made me already think he has one. Back in the day crates were cheap, many people ended up with free crates of ammo with SKS purchases at one point. Many people bought lots of cheap 7.62.

If ya want an sks, grab one. Still have more fun with the 527 and 600 bolt guns lobbing x39 400+ yards.

I've had the sks since it was cheap and just picked up a Cz 600  as well. Ton of fun and feel very different. 

Ones feels like the old classic firearm that it is.  The other (I got the trail) is small and light and compact and modern with  its near full length rail  and feels completely different to shoot

And if ya dont want a trail the 600 alpha is a killer rifle for the money. Or if you can land a older 527 in your hands those are gold.

Honestly,  the cz 600 alpha might be the next bolt action I get. I've enjoyed my trail, but the alpha is more accurate and a but more solid

Having held both, I can say that you would be making the right move. Could probably pop an optic on top of the alpha with the extra funds.
