Misc North Saanich Rod and Gun Club Membership

Hey everyone. I will most likely be moving to Victoria, B.C. later this year, so I’ve begun looking for shooting ranges there. I know Victoria Fish and Game Protective Association exists, but that’s all the way in Malahat.

I was hoping to join the North Saanich Rod and Gun Club and was wondering if anyone here is a member. I would like to find a sponsoring member for the membership drive later this year.

If anyone knows or any other ranges in the Greater Victoria region, please let me know. Thanks!

VFGPA is by far the best range and its not close imo. It looks like it's far away, but its really not that bad. Its about 40 minutes from around Royal Oak. And if you end up living in Langford, its perfect. Just don't travel there during work rush hour.

I’m a member at VFGPA. It’s the best, about 22 minutes from my apartment (I’m in Saanich). They have the longer range if you want to stretch it out, archery, airsoft, and also the smaller Multi Purpose range which is great for shotgun, pistol, or .22 LR drills.

I use the MP bays for shotgun drills and it’s a great deal of fun

How’s the community there? Is VFGPA often busy?

It’s great. I’m a newer member and it’s been great. It can get busy in the weekends but I’ve never had trouble finding a bay

I have just gotten my VFVPA membership (still have to take orientation) but heard from plenty of folks that it’s pretty nice.

North saanich rod and gun club iv heard is great too, and it’s way closer if you live north of the actual city of Victoria (central saanich -Sidney area) but the problem is they have a very long wait list. Like, iv heard of people being on it (and this is not a joke) 12 years. I did some of there kids shooting classes there when I was like, 12 years old. It’s a nice range, but I would not expect to get a membership very fast from my understanding.
