Misc New PAL holder general curiosity question. Do we think there is any hope the ban on hand guns will ever be lifted?

I'm new to shooting and just recently got my PAL (Lady shooter). I have a .22cal Winchester wildcat rifle it's great but I'm sort of super jealous of everyone that has grandfathered hand guns and wish I could buy one. They just look like they'd be really fun to shoot at the range and are more me sized (I mean smaller cal options not hand canons. I know there are definitely some heavyduty ones out there).

I also generally look for more lightweight and shorter options for any type of non restricted gun type/actions (any recommendations are welcomed). Main reason is a few weeks after I finished my firearms course, I had an accident and severed tendons in my dominant hand. It's healed pretty well considering the injury but long heavier guns are more awkward for me to handle now (hopefully not forever) The hand works it's just weaker.

So do we think there is any hope the ban on handguns will ever be lifted. Or should I let go of the dream?

The minute you let go of your dream the government wins. We don't know what is going to happen I know IPSC Canada is pushing for an exemption again

u/WonkyTusky Apr 12 '26

Get your rpal and you could borrow them. My local range lets you rent them there

21

u/Aggressive-Scale1157 Apr 12 '26

Good advice thanks! I was already thinking about getting my rpal but kinda settled on what's the point? I can't buy the ones I would want. It's definitely worth checking with my range to see if they do anything like that though.

27

u/WonkyTusky Apr 12 '26

Still worth it because of the borrowing and if your NR rifles become restricted, or if you want a really short shotgun, or just general knowledge.

Plus who knows, id rather have my rpal incase by some miracle they arent banned anymore, then i could buy my dream pistol

2

u/Cope180-Enjoyer Apr 12 '26

NR to R is never going to happen. No incentive to register it.

Only reason that is valid is to get the rpal incase c21 is repealed and HG's are available to buy again but the waitlists would be so long and the pricing would initially be stupid due to people outbidding or vendors setting the price way higher than they should.

Eventually things would go back to normal, under the CPC.

13

u/HankHippoppopalous Apr 12 '26

If they become unbanned for even a week I will be buying 423 guns which will quickly be lost in a boating accident.

2

u/Impossible-King-435 Apr 12 '26

Can I "borrow" it from a friend? Indefinitely?

2

u/WonkyTusky Apr 12 '26

Technically yes, but legally……..

1

u/Impossible-King-435 Apr 13 '26

I'm more interested in the legal aspect. The ranges who are lending must be doing it legally.

2

u/WonkyTusky Apr 13 '26

At my range, you just pick whatever u want if u have ur rpal, pay a fee, and shoot it. You dont get to take it home or anything, it stays at the range. You just rent them for the day

1

u/Ancient-Wall-4515 Apr 29 '26

You can legally borrow a friend's restricted handgun for the duration of whoevers rpal expires first. They expire every 5 years, so technically 5 years would be the maximum amount of time you could borrow a gun registered in someone else's name.

39

u/goshathegreat Apr 12 '26

Your only hope is to start shooting bullseye with a borrowed pistol and get an Olympic handgun exemption. That is what I and many others are doing.

27

u/Kromo30 Apr 12 '26

so many people taking up Olympic shooting, we better bring home a gold medal. 😝

11

u/julienjj Apr 12 '26

That would be extremely good exposure. "Hey we wont gold despite the government putting all efforts into blocking us."

12

u/Iokua_CDN Apr 12 '26

Makes you wonder if there  would be a profit in clubs starting up for Olympic shooting for all those who want to do it for the exemption.

Seems like there would be enough interest.

Does the exemption only allow you to buy Olympic shooting handguns or can you buy others?

19

u/goshathegreat Apr 12 '26

You can only buy 22lr pistols that are ISSF compliant through the SFC, however in BC they’re giving exemptions for any caliber and make of handgun.

5

u/ActCompetitive1171 Apr 12 '26

Wait, how's that work?

1

u/Plasma_48 Apr 12 '26

Do Olympic air pistols need an exemption? I don’t know what fps they shoot at

3

u/mhkhung Apr 12 '26

No. All competition air pistols for sale in Canada are factory limited under 500 and not even a PAL is needed.

1

u/Plasma_48 Apr 13 '26

Do you know which ones are good to get started for cheap? Everything recommended seems either out of production (like the AV-46M), not in Canada, or $1000+.

1

u/mhkhung Apr 13 '26

The cheapest worthy gun good for competition is Hammerli AP20 Pro. Start with using club or instructor's and don't waste money unless you are really into it.

1

u/goshathegreat Apr 12 '26

No you do not, my friend shoots Olympic air pistol and her guns all shoot 495fps.

1

u/__phil1001__ Apr 12 '26

Fuck spineless Eby

1

u/BlandRusk06 Apr 12 '26

Does that allow you to buy one, or just borrow it? I need to know, because I might just become an Olympic shooter.

u/Reasonable_Hall2346 Apr 12 '26

Zero chance with a Liberal minority, negative chances with a majority.

37

u/Joebranflakes Apr 12 '26

Marginal chance with a conservative minority or majority. They could have liberalized gun ownership the last time they were in power. Unfortunately conservatives need moderate support and a lot of moderate swing voters are more hostile to gun ownership. It’s going to be an uphill battle. We need better public education on gun ownership.

18

u/eldaniay Apr 12 '26

Honestly I think the conservatives did more then you give credit for, but I don't think it was intentional. The fact that the killed off the long gun registry has prevented a successful confiscation campaign

5

u/Joebranflakes Apr 12 '26

That was the bare minimum they could do for gun owners, so they did it. We need a government who can reign in the RCMP and make classifications make sense.

2

u/eldaniay Apr 12 '26

the minimum they could do is nothing.

1

u/Joebranflakes Apr 13 '26

But if they do nothing did they actually do something?

23

u/TarkovSundays Apr 12 '26

How was the handgun freeze ever passed. Absolutely insane. Wasn’t in the hobby at the time.

7

u/PumpJack_McGee Apr 12 '26

Government and media riding off the coattails of American tragedies.

We read and hear about every mass shooting in the States, and then the aforementioned parties like to pretend that we somehow have the same problem.

26

u/Reasonable_Hall2346 Apr 12 '26

Trudeau capitalized on yet another tragedy, the 2022 mass shooting in Uvalde Texas, and used it to directly drive c-21.

14

u/TarkovSundays Apr 12 '26

A mass shooting in the states using a handgun?

16

u/Reasonable_Hall2346 Apr 12 '26

Yup, a mass shooting in the states (not just a handgun) was used as the excuse that now is the time to push strict laws (as if they were not strict prior). Trudeau logic, i cant explain it.

3

u/Agent_1812 https://youtu.be/mrAwb9ptu9U Apr 12 '26

It was not passed, it was an executive order by his majesty

30

u/BrotherLefthand Apr 12 '26

We don't dream, we only cope

7

u/No-Night-48 Apr 12 '26

The ban has been on for years now. Crime has gotten worse. None of the points used to ban them have really proven to be reasonable. We have scholars and almost every province and police force on our side. People need to peacefully protest and DO NOT wear body armour or do anything to make us look far right in the process. We need to appeal to all Canadians and the world that we do not have the same gun culture as the US. Otherwise, the rich disarm us, and history will determine the working classes future.

3

u/RGundy17 Apr 13 '26

This is the best advice

1

u/escv_69420 Apr 14 '26

Yeah, more people need to be like No-Night-48 and less like Tracy Wilson.

2

u/dsac Apr 13 '26

Crime has gotten worse

Violent crime has consistently fallen y/y for the past 30 years

6

u/Double-Lavishness180 Apr 12 '26

Get the rpal just for the knowledge of nothing else

3

u/Aggressive-Scale1157 Apr 12 '26

I've decided I'm definitely going to go for it. I figure now I might as well do the hunters too just for having it. I'm not likely to actually go hunting myself but having the option available to me is worth it.

2

u/Double-Lavishness180 Apr 12 '26

Yea I took my CORE shortly after my pal and rpal. Shot my first grouse last year on my first hunting trip.. I now can't stop rewatching survivorman and episodes of Alone, because I love bushcraft now

20

u/Longjumping_Rain_483 Apr 12 '26

Even with a conservative Government, I don't think the handgun freeze would ever go away to be honest (or at least, not for a while since there's other priorities). I'd say to have 1% faith 😅

6

u/Aggressive-Scale1157 Apr 12 '26

Yeah that's what I figured. Oh well we'll live I guess.

5

u/johnmlsf Apr 12 '26

Yeah, unfortunately I fully agree with you. Anyone believing that an elected conservative government, even a majority, would just waltz in and unfreeze the handgun situation, or bring back the models banned under the buyback program, isn't being realistic.

It's all an optics issue. The voters who want these guns are vastly outnumbered by those who don't want them/don't understand them/don't care about the transfer freeze, or the banned models...and that's all this issue is to these politicians. It's a fringe voting topic they invoke whenever they need to.

10

u/cernegiant Apr 12 '26

We might see the ban reversed if the Conservatives ever form government again. So minimum ten years.

4

u/ornerycrow1 Apr 12 '26

The conservatives will never make hand guns legal again.

5

u/-rifle-is-fine- Apr 12 '26 edited Apr 12 '26

They might recognize IPSC as a valid sport though, opening many handguns back up again.

But yes, I agree with you that they will try to appease newly gained former Liberal voters and non-voters they will need to gain.

3

u/Reasonable_Hall2346 Apr 12 '26

If IPSC was olympic sport, i might actually watch the olympics. But anyways sport ownership shouldnt be tied to a particular event, its a shitty law for sure and revising to include all type of events would be nice.

1

u/ornerycrow1 Apr 12 '26

I'm just hoping they can do something about this bullshit gun grab happening now.

6

u/drugstoremechanic Apr 12 '26

There is always hope.

5

u/Automatic-Height4246 Apr 12 '26

Go to the states if u want legal handguns.

We wont until another 10 years ish whenever conservatives form government.

The gun bans only caused more crimes and black market. And crime rates has gone up. Scapegoating the good people isnt gonna be here forever. Nothing is around for forever even if ur problems

5

u/eekay233 Apr 12 '26

Get it. It should (hopefully)be good for life if they don't change anything. Keeps you open to work for an armored car company or something if you're in a pinch for work.

Can still rent a handgun at ranges.

And, should the universe be willing, in 20 years we might see a conservative government again and they might just lift the ban. Maybe.

20

u/Nautaloid Black Powder Enjoyer Apr 12 '26

I'm gonna be real here... yeah, you gotta let the dream die, at least for now. Last election was our best shot at getting the ban nonsense fixed. There is still definitely a possibility that a future government will unban handguns, but usually once stuff gets banned it stays banned.

26

u/Vintage_Pieces_10 Apr 12 '26

I’ll remain optimistic since the long gun registry got canned after 20 years. I’m here for the long game if nothing else

10

u/Nautaloid Black Powder Enjoyer Apr 12 '26

I hope you are right, but with the way everything has gone since 2020 I don't have much hope anymore. Everybody knows the bans are pointless but the charade carries on regardless.

Canning the registry was a lot easier than unbanning guns would be. Most of our political parties are hostile to gun ownership, and even the Conservatives are hardly pro-gun. If the government actually ends up ramming through their stupid "buyback", then I seriously don't see a future for gun ownership in this country.

1

u/RGundy17 Apr 13 '26

Public opinion has swung decisively against Liberal firearms policy. I know public opinion doesn’t mean that much in the dictatorship of the rich - despite most Boomers being convinced that we have a full democracy that does nothing without the consent of the people - but it’s something

I'm sorry about your hand that sounds brutal. Makes mine sound extra dumb. No joke I tripped over my three legged dog and landed on a Christmas ornament. The hand is doing pretty well but still pretty recent so not 100. The recoil could be an issue for sure. It would still be awesome if try them at some point. If I can't I'll live.

not true, firearms owners overwhelmingly vote conservative, it would be smart of them to throw use a bone, plus firearm ownership is a very different landscape today, 10-20 years ago nobody talked about the right to defend yourself like today, and with the crazies down south, it might be a good idea to get an armed populous.

6

u/Kwamillion Apr 12 '26

Hopefully the Supreme Court challenge will prevail.

6

u/Tookan_ Apr 12 '26

Don't want to be the uber doomer here, but knowing the speeds of which our government (barely) functions at, would I be mistaken to say that the court challenge will likely be beyond this coming October? I'm sure the amnesty will very likely be extended as it has been for over half a decade now, but that's just pure hopium that this hobby more or less relies on these days.

5

u/Reasonable_Hall2346 Apr 12 '26

They will extend the amnesty pending the outcome of the case.

3

u/[deleted] Apr 12 '26

does it matter at this point? the liberals have a majority, couldnt they just push a bill through that bans all "rapid fire" weapons?

3

u/mhkhung Apr 12 '26

If you insist, start with learning air pistol and Olympics style shooting.

3

u/slvrus Apr 12 '26

Carney is getting a majority, don't expect anything good. It's only going to get worse.

3

u/LurkerGarry Apr 12 '26

The only hope is for Conservatives to win an election. Unlikely to happen for a few years with their current direction and leadership. But the will get in eventually.

So yes…and no…maybe?

3

u/NaiveTension4164 Apr 12 '26

I decided to get my R/PAL at the same time because our instructor even said it’s better to get you can borrow handguns and who knows handguns parents banned right now their simply “frozen” as he said and potentially we may get a thaw on those so it’s worth it imo

3

u/soylentgreen2015 Apr 12 '26

It would take a change in conservative leadership, because the present guy is simply unelectable.

1

u/Cre_AK47 Name Prohibited by OIC Apr 13 '26

I mean, it's kind of hard to say that considered he won 41.3% of the popular vote, vastly got more votes than the other previous conservative leaders... The people who keep screeching that he's unelectable are also the same people who called Erin O'Toole Trump/Adolf Hitler as well... They also have always hated him and Conservatives as a whole since forever.

If the NDP didn't collapse, Carney didn't steal 90% of the CPC platform, and that orange ré-tard would shut his mouth for a good few minutes so the dementia ridden boomers can remember how shitty the Liberals made life so shitty right now in Canada, the CPC could have won the election.

1

u/soylentgreen2015 Apr 13 '26

He was so popular that he lost his own seat. Popular vote tallies don't matter at all in first past the post electoral systems. He lost, the party lost, the thing most party leaders do in that situation is resign to allow new ideas and new leadership to have a go, but not him. You're blaming the NDP, Carney, orange man, and dementia ridden boomers. Accountability starts at the top of the ticket.

1

u/Cre_AK47 Name Prohibited by OIC Apr 13 '26 edited Apr 13 '26

Well, yeah, because most of the redrawn riding included Kanata and Dunrobin/Constance Bay, which is filled with retired well off Boomers and government workers who continuously fall for PSAC anti-Conservative propaganda saying Pierre would do mass firings/strip public servants of their job. Which speaking of, now they're getting let go left right and Centre and Bruce will have to answer to them come next election...

The party already had a referendum on leadership as mandated by the party Constitution after an election defeat, and they overwhelmingly decided otherwise, even more so than when Harper lost the 2004 election to Martin. If he loses a second time then yeah I can see a slam shut case for him to go away but remember as I alluded to, Harper lost his first general election as leader of the conservatives in 2004 before winning a minority government in 2006, then winning back to back elections until 2015.

1

u/soylentgreen2015 Apr 13 '26

The irony of you mentioning a redrawn riding, while ignoring that the leadership review was only done by delegates in attendance in Alberta, rather than the broader party membership country wide, is not lost on me. He'll never win a general election with just Alberta, and he's showing himself incapable of broadening the party outside of a very narrow voter base.

1

u/Cre_AK47 Name Prohibited by OIC Apr 13 '26

Well, the first example was the electoral goal post moving as per redistribution that happens every 10 years. The second example is a consistent practice within the conservative party that the convention delegates decide if the leader can continue on. The only time they reach out to nationally to delegates is when there's a leadership election, which is not what happened. If you have a problem with that, then maybe you should write to the CPC because it's in their party Constitution to do just that 🤷‍♂️.

Personally, I agree it should have been national. That said, they would have to amend the CPC Constitution to do that. Would it have been as high as 87% if it was national? Probably not, but I don't think it would be lower than 70% even then. You would have to have Jason Kenney levels of infighting to get really poor results amongst your own delegates.

9

u/dreadknigh1 Apr 12 '26

A reversal on the handgun ban is a sort of “perfect world” hypothetical.

When you look at the rest of this country, does any of it scream “perfect world”? I’m sorry to say, but you definitely shouldn’t make any bets on handguns coming back anytime soon.

9

u/faultysynapse Apr 12 '26

Rights, once taken away are rarely returned.

Even with a conservative majority i don't think we'd get back even a fraction of what we lost, let alone progress. That could probably only happen with a radical restructuring of the RCMP, and the cons sure as shit ain't doing that.

But what do I know? I'm flaaaming leftist whos both pro gun control, and pro us having ALL the guns and gun accessories. A concept that seems alien to most. But hey, there must be dozens of us.

1

u/Blusk-49-123 Apr 15 '26

Anti-gun lobbyists (aka poly) and it's all just for show. Anti-gun folks are on an ideological crusade. They won't be convinced otherwise.

On the other hand, the vast majority of Canadians don't give a shit about guns, it's barely on their radars. Whenever there's a shooting in the states, the leftist politicians use it as a talking point to try and show their constituents that they're doing something in light of a tragedy (although if anybody used their brains, they'd know that combating American gun violence with Canadian gun policy makes NO sense but whatever... this is how our country operates...).

It's all a performance, and always at the legal gun owners' expense.

6

u/black_covfefe_please Apr 12 '26

Since we now live in a single party system, no.

7

u/Straight_Concert_901 Apr 12 '26 edited Apr 12 '26

I was able to purchase a handgun at my local range with my membership but unfortunately because they are working in a grey area of the ban the rule says I’m not allowed to take my handgun home or make any sort of modifications to it besides putting a Red dot on it but with the freeze at least it’s something. Maybe look up ranges in your area and see if by chance one of them offers this as well.

13

u/Cortexian0 Apr 12 '26

You can't take it home because they can't transfer it to you. They are the legal owners of that firearm still, and are just letting you borrow it whenever you visit their range. Theoretically you could go through the process of 'borrowing' it over and over again and that would allow you to take it home during the borrowing period.

-7

u/Straight_Concert_901 Apr 12 '26

Oh so you go to my range and know that they have special permission to be able to sell these handguns like I have bought under special conditions.

Thanks for telling me how my membership at my range and how my gun ownership works.

3

u/Cortexian0 Apr 12 '26

They don't have special anything. They are bound under the same federal regulations and laws as every other range.

The owners there have just decided that they will "sell" handguns to users that they cannot legally transfer them to. Hopefully under some kind of contractual promise that you MAY be able to take them home in the future if the handgun transfer freeze is ever reversed.

What I'm telling you is that if you go through the official and legal process to "lend" a firearm, your range could actually allow you to take that firearm home temporarily. They would be the "lender" and you would be the "borrower" in this case (because they legally own the firearm still).

1

u/waitwhatnothing Apr 12 '26

Yeah this sounds like their range is just imposing additional conditions, perhaps to protect their assets. There’s no legal reason why they can’t take it home or modify it provided the right paperwork is done.

1

u/Status_Ticket5044 Apr 12 '26

I've heard they can get boring. I think part of liking them for me is the size. I love my .22 I almost bought a 12 gauge today but I decided to look into the reviews on it first because I didn't know the brand well. I'm looking at bolt actions too but there are so many it's hard to nail down what one works for me.

3

u/Reasonable_Hall2346 Apr 12 '26

Benelli SuperNova Tactical with pistol grip is my wife’s favorite shotgun. It’s decent sized and fits her small frame, every other shotgun feels weird for her. She bought it as soon as it was in stock.

1

u/Aggressive-Scale1157 Apr 12 '26

Thanks for the recommendation! I've heard good things about the Benelli supernova they look great. A bit pricey but worth saving for, for sure.

3

u/airchinapilot Apr 12 '26

If you are shooting handguns statically (or any gun statically) and that is all you get to do, then target shooting can get boring.

However IPSC and 3-Gun was hella fun. It's the closest thing you could get to video games but in real life.

2

u/38283747483 Apr 12 '26 edited Apr 12 '26

Maybe.

I think at this point with the levels of noncompliance from both owners and local PD, it’s impossible for a confiscation to succeed. If you’re an RPAL haver with restricted firearms that you aren’t declaring, I have a sneaking suspicion we’ll end up grandfathered.

For new RPAL havers it’s harder to say. A conservative majority is probably the only beacon for yall in terms of owning a handgun etc. I think obtaining an RPAL is also a politically significant move though, and I would encourage anyone doing a PAL to just do the RPAL for the bit.

3

u/Interesting_Talk1230 Apr 12 '26

Re: RPAL holders with previously restricted now prohibs via May 1st, 2020 onward OIC's.

They could also choose to Grandfather "only" those who declared. Ultimately, at this juncture I wish everyone who legally holds new prohibs get Grandfathering. I think it'll happen after 1 or more amnesty extensions.

2

2

u/Rookie_52 Apr 13 '26

Gotta thank the morons in the White House downstairs, if he haven’t won, there would have been a conservative majority by now.

2

u/RGundy17 Apr 13 '26

I don’t know. But I’m introducing as many of my friends and family as possible to shooting in order to grow the community. So far, everyone I’ve introduced loves it. In my mind, this is how we as individuals can best contribute to winning hearts and minds

4

u/MacintoshEddie Apr 12 '26

There's always a chance, but honestly that chance goes down the more "the gun lobby" is lumped in with fringe elements like separatists, religious extremists, xenophobes, hate groups, and so on.

That's going to make a lot of people automatically mad, so all I ask is to take a deep breath. Gun ownership is often lumped together with unpopular or fringe political or religious elements, which means that when other people hear news about gun regulations they associate it with bad things.

If we want to have a chance of reversing some of these bans we need to take a frank look at the reputation of gun owners, and the kinds of people we rub shoulders with.

This isn't an "us against libtards" issue. When you say that you alienate huge numbers of people who might have been interested but now don't want to join.

1

u/walebrush Apr 12 '26

As far as I know there still is no ban on handguns. They froze the transfer of handguns while they came up with legislation for them but never did anything. Maby I missed somthing but theoretically they could lift it at any time.

1

u/NotCriminallyRespons Apr 12 '26

Can’t see it ever happening

1

u/BlandRusk06 Apr 12 '26

I hold onto the vain hope that it will be. I want to import a couple of handguns from my grandfather overseas. Our only hope for that is if the conservatives are voted in with a majority and PP reverses the ban. But the chance is slim.

1

u/Remarkable-Show-6367 Apr 13 '26

Only downside if getting rpal is your inviting the police to your house when ever they want. And you do have to let them in to check that you store the guns and ammuntion correctly and look at all your paper work for said restricted weapons. Worth it for funner guns to use at the range but not worth having police come to your house whenever they wish.

1

u/Remarkable-Show-6367 Apr 13 '26

The ria/ derya TM22 OR TM22 Feather are nice lightweight .22lr weighing in under 7lbs before adding accessories. They shoot well straight out of the box and have 10, 15 and 25 round mags. Alot of people say the 25rd mag is junk but mine runs smooth with any CCI ammuntion. Had 1 jam using aguilla ammuntion.

1

Just my 0.02, and not really what you asked for, but I'd recommend it to all new shooters, 223 is a really fun caliber and you can still get some nice compact bolt guns in 223 if those aren't an issue with the injury. The recoil is quite mild, but it's a great way to get into shooting centerfire for cheap and with mild recoil. It's always my recommendation if you're ready to move on from 22lr vs jumping straight over to 308. 223 only runs around 0.60 per round still and let's you shoot out quite far still for low recoil and cheap.

The Ruger American Ranch is a great little compact, lightweight 223 rifle.

The closest thing we can own to handguns would be an antique revolver (pricey and usually requires handloads) or the Dark Mountain Arms single shot 9mm/5.7x28 "rifle" (really it's a bolt action handgun with a little stock tacked on)

Or one of the 410 revolver "rifles" which could technically be shot one handed (9" barrel although do not remove or modify the stock as it could oane you in legal trouble). Quality is mixed on them as they're Turkish (SR410 I believe is the name, and about $600. They sure look like a revolver but have a pistol gripped stock instead of an actual pistol grip).

Or build up a 10/22 with a 12" barrel. apparently Derya is releasing a TM22 with a 12" barrel later this year. The TM22 feather is also extremely lightweight if that's a consideration for you, and there some limited aftermarket available for it for mods. I think it's around 3.9lb.

Not too many women on this Reddit so welcome to the club and enjoy your PAL! Buying guns can be addicting. I'm a bit over a year in and own about 15 now.

I feel you, got my PAL and RPAL a year ago and damn does it feel bad to not be able to own a handgun. I’m still holding out hope that in the future someone will reverse the decision, but I’ve just refocused my attention on other guns I find cool for now.

Buy a Smith and Wesson Stealth Hunter chambered in .357 magnum. The gun is really light, very comfortable and highly accurate. It’s super fun to shoot.

Thanks for the recommendation! I'll take a look at it.

I'm gonna be honest here. I'd be more worried that the government will end up banning all firearms and hunting at some point. Things will not improve in this country when it comes to firearm rights when literal traitors, pedophiles and scumbags are currently in power at all levels of government.

This is a political question .. it looks like at a minimum we are stuck of the next four years with a Liberal government.. As soon as Canada comes to its senses and elects a conservative government the hand gun ban will be lifted..
