Gun and gear reviews Savage 220 setup.

Post image

I got a Savage 220 for 1049 at Canadian Tire ( 30x Canadian Tire Money)

What does everyone run for a dedicated slug scope? rings/scope recommendations

Sorry, no feet pics today.

fyi, they had a non camo 212, and a 220 in-stock for 999 last I was there. Cheapest in Canada

Any scope should be fine. I run a Vortex Diamondback on mine, my dad and uncles run the Nikons. I thought about trying the Sig Buckmaster scope but I already had a vortex laying around.

As for rings, any decent ones will work but I’d recommend the 4 screw vs 2 screw. Make sure you bore sight it or have a gun shop mount it for you because ammo is crazy expensive for these things.

You have yours zerod out for 100 yards? What kinda of distance is viabl? Ive never used a rifled slug before, so I'm trying to figure out where to set up for next year,

We’ve got ours setup at 100yards and you could easily shoot something at 200 yards but I personally wouldn’t unless it’s a giant buck. There’s a video of someone shooting a deer at like 310 yards.

These slug guns are very nice for hunting since most WMU’s don’t allow rifles at least in my area or Ontario.
