In all honesty i have had all brand of lever actions, i find that for the price point, it is a great deal, the quality is similar to the Chiappa i had and i really liked it, the gun shoots good and feels good, the downside is that the stock is plastic and hollow, it is not brittle but light, so the gun is front heavy, but other than that i love it. I also found that a cheek rest with bullets in the quiver balanced it out for the weight distribution

I ended up stuffing scrap plastic in the stock. Like stuffed enough that the plastic inside compresses a bit. Added a tiny bit of extra weight, but completely took out the hollow feel. Highly recommend it to anyone who has the gun. Just unscrew the buttpad and stuff it.

I'll add, I own it too. The hollow plastic stock feels bad. So I stuffed it full of scrap plastic, and now it no longer has a hollow feeling snd feels quite decent. Adding a leather buttcuff made it even better.
Pricewise, it can't be beat. These go on sale for 800 bucks and you cant touch that in the lever action world. You want a tactical lever action? This gives you a rail for an optic, irons as well, and a fantastic handguard with Mlock that is as good as other expensive aftermarket handguards. Honestly. This handguard punches way above its weight.
Aftermarket if you want, it's all rossi r92 or winchestor 92 parts that fit it. So aftermarket is there, but honestly I'd buy this because you want the space cowboy gun, but don't want to spend 1k on just upgrading, plus 1k on the gun yourself. This gun comes pre Spacecowboyed for you.

They're very hit or miss with quality, some folks have good luck and some like myself get one that you can't even load

u/ExpandDong- Apr 09 '26
I am sure you already tried but for me different lever action like or dislike some ammo, my Chiappa hated 38 Spl FTX but liked FMJ, my levtac likes FMJ 38 sellier and bellot and PMC bronze 357 soft point

u/Subject_Bet_6693 Apr 09 '26
Mine would only eat very expensive 60$ a box ammo and that was if it decided to chamber it once I got the rounds in the tube

https://g4cgunstore.com/product/sellier-bellot-38-special-158gr-fmj/ Mine eats those like butter, i guess since they are rounder and FMJ, when i use 357 soft points, they have difficulty loading in the tube and the lead tip get scratched, i have no malfunctions either way but much harder to cycle and load with soft point instead of those 38 FMJ

Permanently affix a long spaghetti noodle to the end of the SR to increase its OAL

Add a sticky note that says "please do not fire :("
It will be as effective as any other gun law

Is it easy to disassemble the stock on that thing? (Asking for cleaning and maintenance purposes)
Also, how does it shoot? Any powder/residue in the face?
7
u/ExpandDong- Apr 08 '26
I find that if you remove one of the blast shield in front of tge cylinder (the one opposite to your face) the gas will mostly go out that way instead of your face

u/Topican Apr 08 '26
You will need 5 mm extended hex bit. And a Phillips head screwdriver. Take off rubber stock with Philips, and use extended her inside the stock.

I guess you dont need bullet quivers when you can just use your toes

Don't be stupid you have made a ristricted fire arm

u/ExpandDong- Apr 08 '26
Disassembling a firearm doesn't make it prohibited if you don't intend to leave it like that, just like removing the stock on a Mossberg 500 doesn't make it prohibited during cleaning. To disassemble the TR 410 you need to remove it to access the screws, you gotta chill a bit, enjoy them toes doh

u/DimensionSuch8188 Apr 08 '26
Ahh so you can't shoot it like that at teh range?
9
u/ExpandDong- Apr 09 '26
Unfortunatly no but you can hold it with both hands on the grip and you still get the feel of a revolver

Bold claim. Source? Manually operated firearm so no barrel length restrictions. 26" overall length rule only applies if the firearm comes to be that length via folding or collapsing.

It has a grip and a handguard. How is this legally any different than a Rossi ranch hand? Lets not do the liberals jobs for them and restricted ourselves anymore than we have to.

The law allows for weapons to violate length requirements if they come that way from the factory, but not if you do it yourself.
Like if you could get a rifle with a 7" barrel and 18" overall length from the factory that the government classified as non-restricted, then you're fine to own it. But if you purchased a version with a 14" barrel and cut it yourself down to 7", that would now be a prohibited device.

So is the only real difference between the tr410 and a revolver a grip? Could you literally just pop that off and put a wood grip on?

u/ExpandDong- Apr 08 '26
Yes and no, the butt end of the receiver when the stock and pistol grip are removed is similar to the other 410 revolver carabine, the screw goes in pretty much horizontally instead of a J grip like a revolver, you'd need to get a a custom one for it to make it work, but i cannot speak on the legality of it but yeahhh

That bottom one... what are the legal limits in terms of length? Is it a gray area?
1
u/ExpandDong- Apr 11 '26
The TR 410 micro is non restricted and 23" long, but you cannot leave it like my picture was unfortunatly, you need to leave it in full configuration to prevent it from being prohibited or restricted, the picture was taken during disassembly for the hell yeah factor

u/bung_musk Apr 09 '26
Does the TR-410 blast shit from the cylinder gap into your face when you shoot it?
1
u/ExpandDong- Apr 11 '26
If you remove one of the blast shield to the opposite side of your face, most of the gasses exit that way greatly reducing the back blast in your face l

u/Canadian-gun-nut Apr 09 '26
Where can I find the tr-410 micro?
2
u/ExpandDong- Apr 09 '26
I bought it here but it sold out in 2 days
1
u/Canadian-gun-nut Apr 10 '26
Oh I know about that 😢 I was hoping there is another source because it’s out of stock but I will keep my eye out thank you!!!

u/TheNadeInUrBackpack Apr 09 '26
That foot mag pinned?
1
u/ExpandDong- Apr 11 '26
Pinned to 4 🥲
1
u/TheNadeInUrBackpack Apr 12 '26
What a shame... take the pin out and throw it in the garbage! Feet don't kill people! People kill people with feet! It's just a tool!

Would it be legal to replace the stock that’s fixed and the same size?
1
u/ExpandDong- 21d ago
I don't see why you wouldn't be able to, as i understand the law it needs to be fixed and not foldable to keep it's original lenght, the issue with that is that this specific stock is odly mounted, i think you would need to make a custom one for it to fit

I'm surprised that the previous OIC forgot to ban assault style toes.
