Looking to buy a .306

I’m looking to buy my first 30-06 but I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed by the options. I’m looking for something under 1K but don’t know where to go from there. Any advice on brands/what I should avoid? (Edited because I am newer to this and put .306 instead of 30-06)

Get a 7mm08 or 7mm rem mag. The 7mm08 can shoot anything from coyotes to elk and bear. I shoot two moose a year with mine and none have ran further than 100 yards
