Disarming Indigenous peoples is actually the origin story for gun control in Canada. Can't have the people on lands and resources they want having property rights let alone the capability to defend them!

That's just government in general, it has no bearing on if it's white men doing it to indigenous or not. The government does the same thing to everyone.
