Gun and gear reviews "Wild Wednesday" flash sale at Cabelas (www.basspro.ca)

Post image

I just learned this: every Wednesday 0001 hrs to 2359 hrs Eastern Time, Cabelas puts on a flash sale for 24 hours.

  • Sometimes there are really good one-day deals on ammo, optics, firearms, gun furniture, targets, and gun cases.
  • The Cabelas associate I spoke with said that he once sold $8000 in optics to one buyer on a Wednesday.
  • A particular Leupold scope went for nearly a thousand dollars off, so dude stockpiled them. I'm guessing he resold them at $500 discount each.

Watch the basspro website tonight for Wild Wednesday details

I don't support Bass Pro anymore.

  1. Overpriced compared to literally any other retailer - so their "deals" are almost the same as base price at Tenda or G4c for example
  2. They fired a shit ton of Canadians

Their ammo is insanely to overpriced. Pretty sure last time I was in there PMC Bronze 223 (which I buy 20rd boxes for online for $12-13/20rd, or closer to $11 when in bulk) was $29/20 at bass pro. Fucking insane. Even their cheapest 223, federal American Eagle, was $19.99/20.

I don't want to see them go under as they sometimes do have good prices and I want all gun shops to stay open, they did have SKS this winter on a brief sale for $530 for nice wooden stocked Chinese ones which was a crazy good deal in this day and age, but man they have to sort out their ammo prices. I'll occasionally buy guns or a scope from them, but very rarely ammo.
