Gun and gear reviews Canadian Barrel Manufacturers
Are there any cut rifling barrel manufacturers in Canada? If so, who? Anyone used their products?

IBI, KS Arms and Cadex are all Canadian, and world class manufactures. I have an IBI on my 6.5 Creedmoor PRS rifle, and it’s an absolute hammer.

i thought Cadex sources their barrel from Bartlein?

Bartlein is available, for an upcharge. But they make their own barrels in house that also shoot fantastic.

Seems like Cadex do have their own barrel line, but for their precision rifle, it's all Bartletin.
Cadex doesn't sell their barrel blank to public or chamber their blank for non-Cadex rifle anyway.

IBI.
Dlask and SBI also both make barrels (for 10/22s though)

We don't make barrels. We contract Shaw down in the US to make barrels for us to our specifications. Barrel making machines are extremely expensive and we'd need to ship thousands of barrels per month to justify that cost.

I didn’t know that. That’s awesome!
I’ve imported Shaw’s prefits before and they’re stellar for the money.

Bruh. Was going to ship my 10/22 receiver off to them for the funny TM-22 mag notch cut. Know of anyone that offers that? I don't trust my local gunsmith to do it at all.

Dlask is still picking up the phone

KS is cut rifle. IBI is button rifling. No personal experience with KS unfortunately but I can say that my local gunsmith speaks highly of them

Jury does cut rifled barrels. No experience personally though.

Bob Jury just did a 338-06 barrel for a friend and it shoots lights out.

4hrs later and nobody mentioned JC?
JC custom out of bouctouche NB! I've got a benchrest profile on one of my ruger americans in 308, and it's a tack driver. Well priced too.

Anyone have any experience with IBI rimfire barrels? I have heard mixed reviews

I have one on my 10/22, it shoots 10 shot groups sub MOA with the top shelf ammo e.g Lapua Center-X and Eley Tenex. It’s a bit less tight with lower grade match ammo, around 1.5 MOA.
Last range day shot 10 shots of Eley Outlaw into 0.70 inches at 50 yards, CCI SV into 0.8 inches at 50 yards, Eley Tenex into 0.45 inches at 50 yards.

Thanks dude this is helpful! I will give them a shot! Was this with or without any barrel shims or bolt shims?

No shims, I’m running a Tandemkross bolt.

IBI is based out of BC if I recall. They make a bunch of precision barrels and actions.
