Buy recommendations Semi auto 45 acp options?

Looking for a 45 acp semi auto rifle option. Sr45 looks decent, any other suggestions?

Sadly no others. Even bolt action is pretty limited, unless you have a converted Lee Enfield that takes 1911 mags.  

So I'd grab the SR45. Really rhe only option right now.

I don’t have a pull gauge but I’d almost like to pick one up just to find out. Double action is kinda difficult. It’s like nothing else I’ve ever squeezed. 20 pounds just to put some random number on it (I have no idea, no reference, but damn it’s stiff)

Absolutely  single  action is way lighter and honestly the way to go.

I have the original, 410 only version, and despite its flaws, I fricken love the thing. It's so compact  and small, and it's just fun.

Going single action  makes the trigger way way better, double action... well you are turning this massive 3 inch long cylinder made for 410 shells, not a tiny little handgun cylinder,  so I get it.

As far as safety..... I don't see any safety on mine. So you are stuck with only loading 4/5 shells and leaving it on the empty chamber.

My advice for the gas from the cylinder gap is to remove the blast shield on the right side. This will direct gas out that way. Away from your face.  Do the opposite if left handed of course.

And lastly, it looks like Canuck is also doing  a version of this. Something to consider, compare the 2 and see which you prefer!!!

As for me, I have my humble 410 that I got for 700 bucks. Sure it's not rifled,  and 410 gets pricey, but I'm happy  with it. It's cheaper priced than the others, let's me be silly and shoot trap, and I'm considering loading my own slugs for it.

There is rumors of a 357 version coming from Canuck, and if that happens, I'm buying one,  and then I'll own a 410 version and a 357 version.

There are actually 2 companies already making revolving 357 rifles that are available in Canada, I believe it was Taylor & Co and Uberti? I saw them on Prophet River a few months ago for sale, there was 2 different brands making them and I think those were the 2 manufacturers if I remember right, but I could have the companies wrong. 

They were priced pretty high, something like $1700, but they do already exist in Canada, albeit slightly rare. I've only seen them at Prophet River though.

I've heard rumors that Canuck is going to bring in a Turkish version of these too, so maybe it's price will be a bit better

Ahh that’s too bad! The SR-45 has a very nice switch safety. I admire the .410 versions too they’re cool to me

Yeah single action is beautiful .. that’s pretty much how I shoot mine. Price of .45 colt I savour it anyway lol

Cocking the hammer is not difficult. I’ve shot other guns with stiffer hammers than this one. If you don’t mind shooting single action then it’s definitely a normal experience. Another thing to consider is that my sample is from the first batch in Canada. The ones up for sale right now are second batch, so perhaps it will be smoother!

Not a semi but revolver would be cooler.

Marlin camp carbine is good if u have one

Hope they make homestead gen2 one day in 10 mm or .45

I think Aero and HK UMP were the only 2 semi auto 45acp at the time.

But there could have been more but I forgot, lol.
