On a non-April fools note. MDT stuff has gone up in price like crazy, I bought an XRS for less than 500 bucks direct from them and now it’s over 800…

Yeah a bad economy raises prices man. U shouldn't be surprised this has been happening for awhile.

The KRG bravo which was seen as its direct competitor hadn’t increased in price that much. They are no longer in the same price category. The KRG only cost 589.00 for the T3 LA, the MDT is 809.00 for the same. The MDT is nicer but not over 200.00 nicer.

When you say the MDT is nicer by what measure are you referring? Nicer in terms of performance or just esthetics?

The MDT is more stiff, the polymer feels higher quality and there is no discernible flex to it. I also liked the longer forend of the MDT for getting bipods out further without having to spend more money for the KRG spigot mount. Now with the price increase, I would say the KRG since you get upgrades and still be under the cost of an XRS. I had both and now I have two XRS’s. I didn’t put my B14 HMR into an XRS or KRG since that factory stock basically does the same thing. Both my Tikka Varmints went into XRS’s.

Nice fine choice. Ive got nothing against mdt they are great of course. But for someone whos just getting into every aspect of precision shooting, the Bravo has met my needs exceptionally well for the price point while saving some coin to be allocated to other tools of the trade.

Yah I agree on the bravo now. I bought both of my XRS’s in 2020. One at the start and one at the end of 2020. Both were under 500.00, now it makes the bravo a more attractive option that the XRS costs 809.99.

Especially now that we've proven to manufacturers of firearms, ammo, glass etc that we'll continue to buy no matter what. Sometimes the price hike is just inflation, sometimes it's a little extra. Something for the shareholders and board suite member's option bonus. In fairness though, seems like just about everyone is doing it.

Yea I would buy this, I have a long length of pull and some woodworking skills, if the action was already cut out and I could shape my own stock I would do this to a lot of my firearms.
