As far as I can tell, all those SKS, and M1 Garands are the ones with a shortened barrel, around 16”, therefore restricted

Sks seems to cover the Chinese type 56 only. Standard garand still seems safe though.

If you type in SKS, then click on filters and click non restricted, it’ll show a bunch of SKS makes/models that are still non restricted.
OP sent a link with the restricted models clicked on the filters, that’s why they show up.
If you check with your own filters, nothing has changed

If you open the filter it shows NR/R/Prohib. You can select NR only as well.

So, the sks wasnt banned because it was used for hunting, and now it can't be used anymore for hunting?

Are these not just the sub 18.5" barrel versions...? Those always would've been restricted, normal sks is still showing non-restricted

Search the SKS under non-restricted, this is false. The short barrel carbine or paratrooper has always been restricted.

I'm seeing the regular length barrels show as restricted as well.
I pay for access to the live FRT, updated March 30th. Is that what you're seeing?

That’s what I’ve found too. Sks and M1 shortened barrels are restricted because under 18.5. The others are all still NR

To be fair, if they somehow add SKS to the ban list. Then the amount of prohibited will go from 2 mil to 4 mil. They don't even want to spend money to cover 130k firearms.
And how much they are now? 700 dollars plus ea for Chinese ones?
