Gun and gear reviews Can't decide

hello all,

I have the dilemma of trying to pick between 2 firearms that are vastly different. the first pick is a mossberg 590 retrograde with a 20" Barrel for the bayonet lug. I want it because it's beautiful but I already have an 18.5" 590a1, maverick 88 combo barrel, 1301 and couple sxs and an o/u. so I don't need another shotgun, it's just pretty and has a bayonet lug.

the other option is the mra renegadein 223 wylde. I don't know what barrel length I really want. prob the 16" bc that's what I see in stock. I want it simply bc I don't have a 223/556 rifle and it's somewhat tacticool to what we can get. if anyone has another suggestion for a rifle I'm open to opinions.

get a tikka in 223. pump action and straight pulls are kinda silly imo.

specifically tikka cause the actions are buttery, and cause they're European and the EU standard doesn't have a difference between .223 and 5.56

i wouldn't put 556 through it. because the only ones I'm aware of are both Henry, which is American, and in North American standards there is a difference between the two rounds.

it's not a huge pressure difference but idk, not really worth the risk.

and mag fed levers are kinda meh. the supreme is neat cause it takes pmags, but it's kind of a novelty imo and i generally don't want to spend over $1k on a novelty, I'd rather something practical and sick.

Yeah this is the way. The CTR in 223/556 is the go to for a 223 rifle right now in canada with close contenders being rhe cz600 trail and the ruger american gen2

If you don’t have a .223, I’d suggest a Ruger American. Inexpensive gun and inexpensive to shoot.

I personally don’t see a point to paying a premium for a tactical rifle that isn’t semi auto. Unfortunate state of affairs we have here.
