Now the real question, can you cut into the gun and actually use the magazine to load it vs being a single loader?

I did email Dark Mountain a while back, asking them to consider making a magazine fed version of this gun. They did reply and asked what caliber I'd want it in if they did that, as it would be much harder to make it multi caliber.

I take that as a possible sign that they might consider  making one!

Go for 9mm if you haven't replied yet. 9mm is plentiful and cheap up here still, 5.7 is pricy and harder to find. Neat that they actually responded which such an open mind.

But I do worry that a man fed version would end up being classed as a pistol in this insane country. I mean it is basically a single shot bolt action pistol with a brave slapped on the back. Pretty cool.

I've sorta wanted to pick up a 9mm with the 6" barrel, price isn't too bad.

Oh trust me, I did say 9mm!

Agreed though, a mag fed version would face scrutiny. I hear they actually tried to label the singleshot as restricted when it first came  but Marstar was able to appeal it

Damn they were able to successfully appeal?

Yup, thus why it's here as a Non restricted firearm!

Do you know what they argued specially for why it should be non restricted and not restricted?

Because it is non restricted.

It's made to be shot with 2 hands. It has a stock, and especially with the stock 16 inch barrel, has a long Overall length.

Nothing about  it is restricted. It just looks pistolish in nature

There is also a pistol version of it but this is very clearly there survival rifle version. Any judge with the ability to read would have to say it’s a survival rifle.
