Misc Help me with ammo shipping pls

okay pls help me. We're looking to get into shipping ammo at Uxbridge Arms. I know Canada Post cannot ship ammo, but does anyone have recommendations? I'm thinking UPS is best, but the paperwork with them is wild. I have to set up a contract with them, but i dont know if anyone has had better experiences with other companies, pls let me know

I'm gonna be so real with you, I know they don't respond to emails like at all, I'm trying to get the sales emails forwarded to me so they'll actually get replied to but everything moves kinda insanely slowly there unless I'm doing it. I'll tweak out on Tuesday to get everything forwarded to me and you'll start seeing emails actually getting replied to.

Also edit to say, I've only been working here properly for like a week now and genuinely knowing stuff like this is super helpful

Ups is the only one that will knowingly ship ammo

So you open up a firearms business without answering these questions first?

C'mon man.

I don’t know many business owners who had everything figured out early on. If shipping ammo isn’t critical to the business’s immediate survival, it’s perfectly fine to figure out how to do it a few months after opening and work out kinks as you go along.

I wish it's only been a few months since the store opened.

It's been two years and I'm the first worker to even look into this.

This is something for the owner to do, not you.

I've received ammo from Purolator. Could be worth looking into.

Need to have a business account to ship ammo, not impossible but takes a minute to get setup.

Sounds like it could be easier than ups based on what OP said. I like Purolator personally they've always delivered on time, and actually knock for signatures

Oh yea, 1000%, I've had experience with both and Purolator is better by far. Ups had me pulling my hair out. Purolator also has a "Chain of Signature" service (again only for business accounts) where basically if someone doesn't have hands on the package it's locked in a cage. I've never seen it used/wonder why they don't do more business with firearms

honestly everything you guys said actually looks super promising so I'm gonna look into it, I've also personally had issues with ups before so I'm kinda looking for any real alternative

Ups used to ship me ammo. Dont think they do in my area anymore but can confirm purolator.

Canada poat has shipped to me a firearm with ammo in the packaging.... I was surprised when I opened that box that it wasnt split in shipments 😳

Canpar has shipped my ammo before with no issues, just required an 18+ signature upon arrival.
