Misc Any place to sell Brass?

I have been keeping my 6.5 brass as I shoot and really doubt i will ever reload any of it as I dont want to buy the equipment.

Is there any place that buys it or would it be better to just toss it in my range's brass bucket?

Honestly..... they do gun post stuff on once fired brass all the time.  Collect a big bag of it, and sell it.  If you want to be generous, sell it at the cheapest price you see others selling it for, and reloaders  will happily pay that and thank you for not overcharging.

Then you get to subtract the cost from buying ammo next. If you pay $1.50 a round, but sell the brass for $0.40 a round, it's like you bought the bullets for $1.10 a round.

I just looked at stores selling once fired 6.5 creedmoor brass... the first one I say was selling 50 brass for 40 bucks..... So gunpost would probably love it I'd you sold  it for 40-50 cents a brass.

Thanks. I may throw the 100 i have up on there this week.    It just adds to the ammo fund lol.

Definitely do it!

I'm collecting my 357 brass, figure I'll either reload it someday, or sell it in a big bundle of a hundred or so someday.

Really makes the difference in ammo cost when you can even recoupe a 3rd of your cost

But think, if you recoup some of that cost, then you can shoot another 100 ;)

Nothing wrong with enjoying shooting! A meal out and a few drinks can easily cost the same as your 100 rounds. I bet you had more fun shooting!

About $325 every 2 weeks in ammo between the 6.5 and .22lr.  3 shooters

Tossing it in your ranges brass bucket allows your range (if non profit like mine) too upkeep the range and keep it nice. Or keep it and bring pails of brass too the local scrap yard, brass is actually pretty valuable via scrap.

My range the greedy rso's will search for the expensive brass long before it gets to that.

Leave it at the range, sell it to reloaders, or brass is pretty valuable as straight scrap metal.

I saved all my brass. I reload though. Especially for my 44 mag, 460 mag and 500 mag. Saves a fortune. You will find a buyer. Easily.

You'll get a lot more for your brass if you deprime it first.

I sell mine on Gunpost all the time. Usually grt a good bit of cash for it. I sell .308 and .357.

I reload 45-70 and will often do trades. Brass for brass. Reloading staight wall cartridges is super easy compared to tapered rounds. Which is why I reload 45-70 and not .308. .357 is cheap enough to just have fun with factory ammo.

Not necessarily, a lot of recyclers will reject shells because of the risk of it having live ammo mixed in.

i reload with lee's kit and a rubber mallet. total costed me $100ish from amazon. not a huge investment.

PS: I'm reloading 30-06 but you can do 6.5 too.

Hmm i'm interested to know more. What would you say it costs you per 30-06 round when factoring in the powder, and all the other ingredients ( I know nothing about reloading yet)

But definitely interested to reload my .308 brass

uh. price varies depends on the bullet you are using. the really cheap 150 grain fmj ones are cheaper. the heavier and/or high penetration bullets (from nosler) are quite expensive. but that being said, even with nosler partition the completed round is still much cheaper than buy it premade.

price wise anything from maybe 80 cents per round to $2 per round. depends on what i'm making.
