Gun and gear reviews Henry SPD Hush in 45-70

So we recieved a pair of these a little while back, one in 3030 and one in 45-70 and when they were anounced at Shot this year I was super interested in the 30-30 but a little skeptical of a carbon barrelled 45-70 for recoil related reasons. But i was pleasantly surprised at how well weighted the rifle was. Not only was the action as smooth as you'd expect from a Henry, but it was also incredibly well balanced and had a nice bit of weight to it too. I dont think they'll unseat the Marlin Dark Series as king of the out of the box tacticool lever, but the carbon wrapped barrel and tactical foregrip certainly pair nicer than I thought they would.

I assume they were around $2500. I'm just weird and like to add tax on the spot haha

Ah in alberta its only 5%. We were running them 2700 but then 10% off so pretty close with the guess.

Over a Garand?

am i the only person on this sub who thinks garands and sks's are massively overvalued?

like sure, they are fine guns and have a place in history.

But i would take a browning BAR over a garand.
