The sad part is the more these sell in Canada the more manufacturers are going to go with safe options like this and the MRA.

I haven’t handled the MRA, but have 400 rounds down my TaipanX.
It feels like a grown up Derya. Everything made fairly well and lines up well.
There’s some oddness to the bolt hold open on the older models that this one fixes. It would be a really nice option if they just brought this one with the 12.5” and 16.5” barrel options.

So this is competition for the par? The demo ranch video of the par proved to me that gun is worth owning. Is this gun superior to the troy?

I enjoy my TaipanX for what it is. This new one looks nicer than the original EVO one behind it.
As a side note, there is no way to get an extra OEM handguard for a TaipanX. I asked all the way up the chain and was told to pound salt unless warranty.
