The CCFR has been constantly using AI slop both on their social media and on their merch store/website… it’s pretty lazy and awful tbh.

Litterally just googling to try to find a replacement part for one thats been discontinued, and the AI suggested a direct replacement available through another company. Looked up the specs and it was not at all compatible, in fact it probably would catch fire if it was used. Thats one of many reasons that I hate AI, it gives incorrect information with 100% confidence.

Yeah, agreed, but come on. We've all dealt with people in real life doing the exact same. Hell, too many of the people I reported to at work were like that.

People using AI as the all knowing OZ, their digital "partner" or totally unbiased arbiter of absolute truth are a lot of the problem. If used as a tool to narrow down or suggest a field of search on a topic, that's probably mostly fine. But anyone would be a fool to rely on that without verifying and triple checking from other sources.
