Mr. Anasangaree is once again tap dancing when it comes to answering questions about the confiscation program.

He doesn't accept Mr. Lloyd's figures regarding the 2% participation rate, and obfuscates with current participation figures that are supposedly meant to inspire confidence in the program.

According to the Public Safety Minister, police will NOT be going door-to-door to collect prohibited and illegal firearms. Seemingly millions of Canadians will be criminals, in possession of these "weapons of war", but the Public Minister suggests local police services will enforce the law with no specifics.

Additionally, Mr. Anasangaree adds empty rhetoric regarding the effects on crime this program will have, citing the mass casualty report that followed the Portapique shootings which were committed by an unlicensed criminal known to police, with illegal firearms.

Yooo that’s crazy. Cutting over 100 million from Correction Services Canada most of it being for rehabilitation and reintegration (like the most important part so people don’t commit crimes again) but the have 700 plus million to spend on taking guns from people who have never committed a crime. Wild

You'd think Canadians would show a little more resentment to a corporate banker elite disarming the working-class, ESPECIALLY after the Minister responsible for overseeing said program was caught admitting himself it does nothing for public safety, was only for Quebec votes, and was ordered by Carney to follow through and do this, but I guess I shouldn't be surprised anymore after the last 10+ years.

Sadly, Canadians have been lulled to sleep wrapped tight in their social security blanket.

They’ve grown naive and soft, gullible and passive. Canada is an adult kindergarten.

Its not even about disarmament because they won't actually do a darn thing to get those firearms out of our safes.

Its fear mongering optics to buy votes in ridings where people are terrified of the very idea of firearms

Yes, the optics & narrative for votes is definitely a huge part of it.

However, i’d argue that the liberals did sacrifice Canadian sovereignty to the U.N. global government over the past decade. Part of that was when Tudau signed the 2016 UN Small Arms Treaty which called for the removal of “military-style” firearms from civilians.

The UN classified “military-style” as semi-automatic, center-fire, magazine-fed rifles.

The liberal spin-doctors changed the wording from Treaty “military style” to “assault style” because assault sounds scarier I guess. They also spun the optics from - “we are robbing you of your Canadian sovereign rights by confiscating your legal guns at the hands of an undemocratically elected international government panel” to “you are the bad guy, you’re a misogynist psycho killer with ultra-right-wing American militia beliefs out to kill us all” narratives.

Why did the U.N. even create the Small Arms Treaty to begin with? Because organized crime was buying up guns (mostly American) and shipping them to Africa where African warlords were raising child soldiers to murder their own villages.

So law abiding Canadians had to give up their own hard-earned property because of African warlords.

Such is the world we live in…
