News / Politics / Activism Public Safety not providing values hinting that funding has exceeded budget limits

public safety seems to have run out of money already as some who called for values are not being responded to by the typical 10 business days and beyond.

has anybody received a callback for compensation when the website states to call in ie. $1

They 100% already ran out of money, that’s why they requested another 150 million from the Feds.

How is Carney the supposed genius still letting these morons run a mock. That request better be denied and Gary fired.

Please don’t forget that Gary is just a scapegoat. He’s only there to take the blame and protect the rest of the party (including Carney) from the fallout.

In that regard, he’s doing his job rather well

Someone with morals would have stood up to the PMO in this issue. But if we are going to get an incompetent yes-man to do the LPCs bidding I don't feel any pity for Gary being the guy to do it

Someone with morals wouldn't be a politician to begin with.

Exactly. Doesn't seem so bad though when the rrst of us actually have to work for a living.

Gary is there to fail so that Nathalie can take his place.

I hope they keep Gary, he’s a fantastic failure and more media have reported neutrally or negatively on the program than ever before. The last thing we need is them replacing him with Provost.

Honestly I think Provost would be a bigger liability to the LPC than Gary is. She doesn’t get much public attention as it is. But if she were public safety minister, she would be crashing out daily on camera during question period or during press conferences. She would do even more damage to their credibility. It’s not like it would make a huge policy difference, she’s clearly already Gary’s boss.

Agreed, she was a complete embarrassment at the last press briefing.

You are wrong here, this is exactly what we need, for two reasons:

1) I think she's at the beginning of a legitimate mental breakdown and she's not dealing with the day-to-day stuff Gary is, just high-level stuff. She is barely holding it together with whatever briefings she is being given / random chatter around the Hill, if she actually had to personally handle the Public Safety file, deal with the inner workings of the failing program and what is practically acheivable, plus all the other shit PS deals with (which she would take massive flak for because she'd let it all languish in the name of finishing the gun confiscation) I think she'd end up removed on medical leave

2) There's a still an absolute fuckton of fudds that see no issue with what has happened over the past decade, I'd honestly like to see some bans on "sniper rifles" and tube mags to really shake people awake.

Please no, sniper rifles and tube mags are all I have left 😔😂

Carney is probably so over Nat and Gary at this point.

The scheme makes no sense and is proven to fail.

It is funny what Gary said in private recordings and then what he says in committees and parliament.

What blows my mind is someone like Carney is cool having morons representing him and his company out I public like that. Did he run Brookfield like that?
