on the other hand, if you have a shot-out barrel that looks clean they'll probably think its in perfect condition and give you more $$ vs the haggling you'd have to deal with on gunpost.

Tenda takes 10-20% depending on the value of the gun, might be a better place to sell.

Don’t sell to bass pro lol. At best they’ll give you 50% value of the gun.
So firearms GameStop then lmao

Hell no. Even the lowest of Gunpost lowballers are more reasonable than Bass Pro/Cabelas.
Saw someone picking up a used (near mint) 1301 Mod2 for sale at Cabelas for $1050. The same gun retails for $2150 new at Cabelas. Only they'll know how much the trade-in price was.

As with most stores or places that do this or Consignment they either lowball the hell out of you or the consignement fee is Outrageous

I asked them one time about a tikka I had, you’ll basically get 25% of a rifles retail value.

Don’t bother with Bass Pro. I was trying to sell a fairly new RAR gen 1 and what they offered was insulting (not to mention having to wait for them to look at the rifle for well over an hour). Sold it off to a guy on GP and got the exact amount I wanted.

Pretty sure bass pro discontinued that program, even though they still have signs up for it, they don't offer it in Canada anymore. I tried recently and was told they don't accept them anymore, despite the store still having a sign up saying they do.
Selling privately is the way to go anyway, then no 3rd party needs to make a profit off it so you'll get more

Bass Pro is good for one thing, IMO, and thats knowing exactly what you want, where it is, and how much it costs. Talking to people behind the counter is one of the most frustrating retail experiences ever.

Define fair.
They take a risk that the firearm will sit on a shelf for a long time so it is in their best interests to offer you significantly less than market value so that they make money off the 2 transactions.

You’d be better off selling it your self on gunpost or CGN
