Milsurps / Prohib All About Goods Canada (AAG)- has anyone ordered here before?

AAG has a couple no5 enfields which i am looking for. I had never heard of them before ans wondered if anyone has ordered from them before? TIA

never heard of it but based on the pictures it looks more like a pawnshop type deal. I wouldn't order online without handling & seeing them in person tbh.

Ya that makes sense, they seem to do all kinds of stuff

They are legit but prices are high. Their inventory mainly comes from auction sites. I see them bidding all the time. Saw them win a Portuguese k98 for around $3000 and sell it for $5000 with a couple days.

Legit store. They took over G4C's old storefront. I checked them out in person when I drove past them a while ago.

They sell a bunch of other random collectables as well.

I just bought a Winchester 1897 off them online. I had a friend pick it up so had to call the store to arrange pick up. They also went out of their way to do a video of the gun firing and from what I understand the guy did it after store hours at a private range, so customer service was spectacular from my experience. I thought a bit expensive for a 100 year old gun, but who knows how to really evaluate a gun like that when some people will sell it for $250 to a buddy's son, and others will sell it online for $2k. Its a weird functional collectible piece so I guess $800 wasn't bad when I really consider it.

Sounds like a good experience, that 97 must be sweet. Its a good buy if you are comfortable with it. Killed me to pay 1200 for a No5 Enfield but they aren't getting cheaper

Yeah, I am happy with the purchase and the experience with the store. I was looking at their jungle carbines as well. I’ve always wanted one but they are getting out of my price range. The first 303 I bought was $100 back 15 odd years ago. Its crazy what people are paying for them now, but if they are happy with the gun at the end of the day, all is well.

You got your Chiang Kai shek from them right?

Actually a Mauser banner Chinese contract

1

u/CAFirearmSociety Mar 24 '26

Sorry ye KMT banner Mauser. I seen that Mauser be purchased at AAG, put up for auction by buyer, then repurchased by AAG again. I was wondering if you were the owner that auctioned it, or the current owner?

Current owner. The price they listed was not too bad. Much cheaper than k98s and CKS considering its historical value and production #.

2

u/CAFirearmSociety Mar 24 '26

Yes you’re right in historical value. I sold 2x KMT banners couple months ago for way too low. 1 I saw get flipped for $600 profit, the other the guy complained about condition even tho it was better then described. Like fuck me, should have just kept it. Mind me asking how much yours was?

1k. Surely some profit made by them. But these things would only go up especially in Canada. Canadian milsurp market is inflated as fk.

That Hanyang from Tenda is beautiful, does it feed and extract?

1

u/XilingolShepherd Mar 24 '26

Haven’t had the time to shoot it yet. I’ll also need to find enbloc clips for it. The crown is basically gone so I expect keyholes like most others.

I wonder if the Japanese converted one has a mag follower

No not shoot, I just meant feed and extract dummies as that alone would be impressive. I recently picked up a cks that landed with the KMT troops back to Taiwan, and refurbished on the island. Never seen an other like it, although not matching its in excellent condition for cks. Thinking of being cheeky and using it as a deer gun just once.
