Feets / Collection / My build That Monday morning call hit DIFFERENT

AFTER WHAT FELT LIKE A LIFETIME… this morning I get THAT call.

No warning. No heads up. Just “it’s here.”

I don’t even remember the drive over — I teleported.

Walked out grinning like I just won the lottery with this absolute MONSTER: Marlin 1895 in .45-70 🔥

Bank account: Crying

Me: worth it 🤝

Firearms Outlet? I've been waiting on the call for almost a year now for Butler creek mags that will likely never show :')

Is the trigger wobbling bit? I tried the marlin and noticed this

Both 1895 & 1854 wobbling.. it doesn’t bother me much

Thanks. Then it’s normal.

Marlin triggers are known for it. Perfectly normal.

Well congrats! I see small batches of these pop up and disappear in no time.

I was hoping for 30-30 since i have another 45-70

They’re both pretty damn fun to shoot.

Ok, but I'm debating between the 30-30 and .357. Been hearing that if you're only doing one, go .357 because you'll shoot it more than the 30-30...

I have a bolty for longer ranges, but I am tempted to take the 30-30 model as a range/bush gun.

If I had to do one it would be 30-30. The ammo is more expensive but still around the price that you can buy a few boxes and take it out without feeling too guilty. 357 is better for target practice but a little anemic for a bush gun. I personally like to have a cartridge with a bit of authority to it in the woods, just my 2 cents.

Gunpost is literally filled with them?

11 Marlin dark series 45-70 on gunpost for sale right now

I had to look it up and saw adds from 2k and the next guy selling one for 3.5k. I hope the scalpers are stuck with them forever.

Very nice, what calibre is it? I'm still waiting for one in 357

Congrats, I snagged a 30-30 / 336 a couple weeks ago. I had subscribed to in stock notification, a single unit came up and three minutes later it was bought and paid for.

I have to say though, I did not realize just how nice the lever action rifles are and so much fun to carry in the fields. I understand the popularity now!

There are tons of Marlin dark 30-30 and 45-70 on gunpost.

I don't understand why everyone is saying they're  hard to find?

Those are mostly all at scalper prices. I paid 2K for mine, they are usually 3K on GP.

There's like 11 Marlin dark series 45-70 on gunpost.

Ones $2380 all in, plus not registered in a stores sales records.

Whyd you wait for one?

1

u/EscapeChance823 Mar 24 '26

That one is used lol been there for awhile.

u/[deleted] Mar 25 '26

The one I saw is brand new for $2350 including shipping.

The other one with "about 200 rounds fired" I saw to.

Not busting your balls just stating gunpost has one.

Im on a list for one in 357 but not holding my breath.

Nice buy, enjoy

I have a Henry big boy model x with RPP parts and a marlin 1894 44 rem and a S&W 1854 45-70, Henry supreme which I want to add Pew View and RPP parts to haven’t done anything to the S&W or the Marlin yet.
