Application / Regulation advice Backland hunter magwell

Hey guys looking for information before purchasing anything. Iv been eyeing the backland hunter and am wondering about the legality of filing the magwell to fit stanag mags. I understand this is Reddit and not a lawyer. But to my understanding of the law, the gun is classified by its action. And filing the magwell does not change this. The firearm uses crypto mags which are known for being bad. I got into a debate with a local firearm store about the mod I seen on gunnuts and am wondering if by doing so I’m putting myself at risk. My advice is to skip the backland hunter, I haven’t heard a single good thing about it. Plus Crusader is a shit company with shit morals.

I agree with this statement but from someone who got into hunting and shooting after the ban it’s the coolest one that’s accessible to us. I already had issues and had to get a few parts replaced from where it was purchased. But now seems to be solid. Just wanted something fun!
