Received this box after a long wait. Imported from the states. Barrel is far from ‘free floating’ in fact it’s almost ‘bedded’ on the right side of the barrel. I’ve heard story’s of the Gen 2 American’s not being seated well, but IMO this is unusable.

With this being imported, there is an almost zero chance of it being replaced ……

So I can send it back to Ruger in Arizona where they will likely tell me ‘it’s fine’ (2-3 month wait on top of the 2 months I’ve already waited) or try to fix it myself

Question is, how does one go about shimming the action screw anchor point / where the action rests to straighten it out
