Gun and gear reviews Would you accept this?
Received this box after a long wait. Imported from the states. Barrel is far from ‘free floating’ in fact it’s almost ‘bedded’ on the right side of the barrel. I’ve heard story’s of the Gen 2 American’s not being seated well, but IMO this is unusable.
With this being imported, there is an almost zero chance of it being replaced ……

That's exactly it. I wanted something that took AR mags and I was not about to get a mossberg. The machining is so rushed and bad on the bolt that you can see the exact machining process for every cut, and they left all the edges nice and sharp, the bolt is so sloppily machined my soviet sks said "Damn, that's rough." My stock is not centered, and the trigger is not good, way too squishy and mushy. I also found if you run the bolt too fast it binds up in a dead stop when you go to push it foreward, it's literally the only bolt action I have that binds up when I run it fast, my Lee Enfield, Mosin, Savage 10T-sr, bergara, 2 R700's all my rimfire bolt actions, and marlin 55 goose gun all rus as fast as I can go, the RAR is the only one that binds up
Tl;dr, the Ruger American Ranch is not remotely woth 930 bucks and should be realistically a 500 dollar gun
