If it were an actual functioning m240, they'd probably give you $5 for it... Problem is, you weren't one of the first 4 people to register (who will each receive about... $3.50) so they've already ran out of money for the program.
Sorry bub.... We'll still take your guns though.

Technically you can just change your email address on your CFP individual web services profile and you will never hear from them ever again.
Also, this message is coming from RCMP's boss, i.e. Public Safety Canada. The RCMP (who administer the Canadian Fireams Program) is just the messenger here.
It's funny they even put a disclaimer in the email to distance themselves from this nonsense.
The Canadian Firearms Program facilitated the delivery of this notification on behalf of Public Safety Canada and has not shared or disclosed any licence holder names, addresses or personal information with Public Safey Canada. Please ensure that your email is up-to-date with the Canadian Firearms Program to receive direct ASFCP updates. Alternatively, updates will be available on the ASFCP website.

My CFP account asks me to verify by email everytime I log in. So I would advise against anyone doing this as it may result in you getting locked out.
Also, everytime I log in, I get a message popping up saying "your information was found in a data breach". Thanks RCMP!

Yeah, there is literally no reason to declare.
1) I declare: They ran out of money anyway and just take my AR15.
2) I don't declare: They take my AR15, or they extend the amnesty again.
Easy choice.

We haven't done anything. It's the government that is going to have to walk back and reverse all this bullshit. They are just digging themselves a bigger hole on the taxpayers dime.
