Application / Regulation advice 1 year after PAL application- Approved!
Hey all,
I've seen a tonne of posts with experiences similar to mine, a wildly long wait after applying for your PAL.
My fiancee read that some were having success with reaching out to their local MP, she did on my behalf and couple weeks ago. I filled out the requisite forms they sent back to contact the CFO on my behalf, and BAM within a week my PAL was approved.
My situation is different than most, I had a 10 year ban on firearms after making a mistake early in my adult life. I've since been pardoned and that 10 year period lapsed.
There is hope out there to become a lawful gun owner, contact your local MP! Surprised they could move the needle so fast.
Good luck all

I got mine recently. 1 year after I applied. I called the RCMP and they transferred me to the CFO office. Spoke to someone there and they said they would process it. They said 5 business days, never got a notification. My PAL just came in the mail.
Side note, me and the spouse applied at the same time. She got here PAL in 2 months. Mine took a year.
