I believe the regional pronunciation is Rugger?
I have one of the Gen 1 predators and it's excellent for what it's meant to be. I have no doubts that the Gen 2 models are improvements. Excellent choice in my opinion.

I believe he was referring to our nut-friendly chipmunk. But you aren't wrong either.

Vortex Triumph HD 3-9x40. Budget option my dealer recommended

I started with that on it as well. It took one range trip to bump up to the Crossfire II 4-12. Now I can see well enough on the 300m range.

Put 60 rounds trough it yesterday, shoots great! took me a second to zero in my scope but after that good groups at 50 and 100 (for a first timer). Bolt was smoother than people say it is in my limited experience. trigger felt good aswell.

Where'd you find it? I have one coming from Irunguns right now because it was impossible to find in Canada in 5.56 with the short barrel. Super excited to get it.
They're almost impossible to find up here right now though. Only seen used ones and they were going for 1200+.
I have the Gen 2 Predator in 308 as well and am quite happy with it. Stock could be a bit stiffer but that's my only complaint. The magpul and MDT stocks look sweet though

Right place, right time. Dante's had a shipment come in, they filled their orders and there was this one left. Probably would have been gone the next day. Funny thing was i was going in there to buy a cz457 22lr and the gentleman talked me into this one.

I like Dante’s a lot, bough a few rifles from them. Unfortunate it’s in Quebec

Al Flaherty's had a batch, they emailed the notification list and said first come first serve, I think they've sold out again.

Congrats, but regulations state toes are supposed to be within the trigger guard during photos.

I had a first gen ranch in 762x39, it was so good along with a 308 predator. Sold both to fund a gen 2 in 6.5 creedmoor and a muzzle loader for early season white tail.

I just got the 7.62x39 and put 60 rounds through the other day, these gen 2’s are a thing of beauty!

That rug really pullls the room together.
GREAT start and enjoy your Ruger/Rugger. You should have years of enjoyment.

Nice one! I just got one of these in the mail today and the box arrive bent in the shape of a C Barrel is resting on one side of the stock Either the stock is deformed, action screws are bent or barrel / action is damaged. Fairly disappointing after getting it imported and waiting for months for it to arrive. Hope yours shoots well
