Buy recommendations Suggestions For First Purchase

Hey yall, Long time lurker first time poster. After waiting my 6mths (thanks to the CFO here in ONT) I finally got my card in the mail. Looking for recommendations for a good starter purchase that won't break the bank. I kind of have my mind set on .22LR just given the cost of ammunition. Personally am not the biggest fan of leaver actions but am open to any input.

Thanks all!

Either a 10/22 or cz457/tikka t1x for .22lr and or maybe .223 for bolt action. Others said .308 but .223 is easier on the wallet. Also definitely get a 12gauge shotgun and sks. Not in any order but. 22lr is cheap and you will also get better shooting it.

That would be pretty sweet to have a rifle to have and use the iron sights for a change.

Yeah, I have a mkII G and its fun using the iron sights. Magazines and feed system really suck though.
