Application / Regulation advice AR-7 in Canada

Ar-7 in Canada

Is the .22 AR-7 affected by the upcoming new gun laws? Is there a “ grand father” clause or am I screwed. It took me forever to acquire one.

Cool beans, I can say it’s been confirmed in other places, being a stoner design, I was worried about an unfair tactical comparison

god damn, I had no idea they'd gone up so much. That's $100 more than a dang TM-22 Pro!

And so much worse the 2 I’ve owned were terrible in the accuracy department

I had silly fun single loading 45 gr 800 fps .22 LR through mine. Surprised us. I wouldn't recommend a new AR-7 though, certainly not at these prices. The ergos are pretty mediocre. Definitely TM-22 instead.

Maybe, but question comes from Stoner engineering and fits my need till I can legally own hand guns again… you sound like a creedmore or blackout shooter🤣

It has a dovetail rail for optics mounting and the barrel is plastic with a .22LR liner in it.

By October 30. A list of Assult style weapons need to be turned in or destroyed… you’d think the government would have other things to worry about this year
