Gun and gear reviews Excited for these to hit the shelves

A sexy beast if you ask me. Modular straight-pull bolty from beretta. Marketed to be short, compact, and allow quick follow-ups for drive hunts. Seems to be marketed towards Europeans but they’re making their way over here. Oh yeah, and they take AR-10 magazine.

I asked a dealer they said it was a U.S only model apparently. Anyone contact Stoeger Canada?

I did and they told me we would get it. I got it in an email. I think they were expecting them very soon.

Nice, but fairly spendy. Irunguns has them available on US sight. However they're listed at $1607 USD. So $2220 Cad before all additional fees.

Thanks for checking if there was a currency/north-tax arbitrage. If 1800 cad then it would be worth pursuing.

absolutely love mine, great accuracy and just a smooth gun to shoot. one problem i had with mine was with the stock mags the spring isn't very hard so with soft point ammo it would jam up a bit on the feeding ramps. But once I got the mag adapter for the magpul sr25 mags it fed everything no problem. I also bought quite a few mag adapters to try and file them to fit pistol 308 mags. I'll see how that goes.

I was about to say us lefties getting the shaft again.

But I looked and it says it’s ambidextrous, the bolts able to change sides without tools

As a lefty they're really slick to run the bolt. Shooting it from left shoulder with right handed bolt is crazy fast. They're a crazy fast and smooth action. With the shorter barrel I'd bet these are very easy to handle.

I’m definitely going to keep my eye on them. But just bought an R95 trapper 30/30, so the gun fund has to regenerate

This one is pretty sweet. I like that 18” is on offer. Make it a little different than my 16” scouts, squeeze out that extra 200 fps.

It is crazy how a little bit of barrel length can increase the velocity to a noticeable extent.

Work up the numbers for 358win. I really like the look of 14" - balance between recoil and velocity, with the "downside" of possible fireballs depending on powder choice. (You'll be reloading 358win).

I love my full length one. The option for calibre changes is really neat along with the ability to swap the handness and ejection direction.

The one savage made was reportedly quite good but sells like you're trying to foist dog shit off to someone.

I don't expect an even more expensive one will do any better. I'd rather have the semiauto for the money I bet this costs.

Exactly. A short barreled straight pull bolt action is a cool concept but I'm not paying $2400 for one.

Anyone have issues with accuracy? I went to a gun show and pressed the back of the Picatinny rail (unsupported) and it flexed and that immediately turned me off the rifle.
