Buy recommendations decision making

so I'm trying to decide what to go with, the RF-224 or the 10/22?? the 224 comes cool looking, easy on the wallet the 10/22 is super reliable and been around much longer but has much more aftermarket friendly parts (not sure how shipping from states to Ontario would go, or if there is a reputable Canadian site/store) any help, advice, or recommendations would be super helpful.

The RF-224 is an ok rifle. Nothing special about it other than looks. The 10/22 is a basic rifle that you can upgrade to no end. There are lots of aftermarket parts. Triggers, bodies, stocks, barrels, bolts and so on. You can buy the components separate and build your own rifle. That is what I did. I bought an SBI chassis and body. Get the SBI Remington 597 adapter so you can run larger mags. I use the 30 round Remington drums and love them. I have not had good luck with the 22 round mags. If you find the Remington factory mags, grab them. They run great. The TM22 is also a good choice.
