Buy recommendations decision making

so I'm trying to decide what to go with, the RF-224 or the 10/22?? the 224 comes cool looking, easy on the wallet the 10/22 is super reliable and been around much longer but has much more aftermarket friendly parts (not sure how shipping from states to Ontario would go, or if there is a reputable Canadian site/store) any help, advice, or recommendations would be super helpful.

I was in the same dilemma but ended up deciding the Turkish quality control was too much of a mystery box to dump $500 into. Even if you get a good RF224, their metallurgy is still a major unknown, meanwhile 10/22s will last for DECADES. No questions, no uncertainty. Slowly build it up into whatever you want if cost is the concern, but at least you have peace of mind it'll last you.

this is very true! more and more I'm seeing the reliability factor outweigh other factors tenfold with the 10/22
