Buy recommendations decision making

so I'm trying to decide what to go with, the RF-224 or the 10/22?? the 224 comes cool looking, easy on the wallet the 10/22 is super reliable and been around much longer but has much more aftermarket friendly parts (not sure how shipping from states to Ontario would go, or if there is a reputable Canadian site/store) any help, advice, or recommendations would be super helpful.

I have owned my 1022 since new in 1986. I bought an RF224 in thr fall and sold it this morning. Its cool and fun but I dont know if it will flawlessly fire 10k+ rounds like my 1022. Thr 1022 is pretyy much the gold standard for low priced 22s IMO

that's actually really helpful! cuz that's what I don't want, realistically the firearms I buy I want to have for years and years not sell them because of issues and end up basically wasting money

I certainly dont want to shed bad light on the Adler, I loved mine and it ran perfectly, I was mainly downsizing due to life change. But, if you were only to buy one, I would recommend 1022 but if your situation allows, you should get both! Also, the Adler is loud like a 9mm with the short barrel which you may or may not want, and it is easily tricked out as it has rail and mlok compatibility. Good luck!

ya, I've been researching the aftermarket community and it seems pretty vast, but hard to get some parts here in Canada compared to the states so I may try to find a forum dedicated to 10/22 upgrades
