The bill makes important changes to Section 34 of the Criminal Code so that force is presumed to be justified if used against an illegal intruder. Conservatives first announced the ‘Stand on Guard’ principle back in August, asking the government to introduce legislation in the fall session.

Who cares what they suggest? Seriously it's just posturing and show. The liberals are just shy of a majority and will likely have one after three April by-elections.

It's not like the liberals will care to even entertain this bill.

There's literally no pleasing folks like you.

The conservatives are doing what they can as the opposition. They can't enact law because they're not the governing party.

So they table stuff, it gets approved or shot down. If they didn't table something you'd be using the same tired "the cons are bad, they don't offer anything to the government".

Pick a lane.

It's not like the liberals will care to even entertain this bill.

Even if they don't, the conservatives are doing what's asked if them by their constituents, people want self defense protections, this isn't new.

If the liberals shoot it down, it's ammo for future pushes. If they let it fly, it's a win for everyone.
