Gun and gear reviews Mini Mauser

Post image

Any thoughts on this? I just saw Adriel’s, AKA hunting gear guy, review on this.

Looks… fine? Has anyone shot this thang yet? Please share some experience on accuracy and reliability.

Thanks in advance.

This is the newer batch with a slightly worse wood and metal finish, but still a good buy. Mine shoots 1.5MOA with premium ammo (Eley Match) and a scope on a good day, so it's not a precision rifle by any means but cheap and fun.

Like the JW-15, these guns are AMAZING entry level gunsmithing "tutorial guns". You can learn to polish the action, do a trigger job, bed a stock, and refinish the wood all on one rifle without worrying that you just ruined something expensive. It's a $100-$150 Chinese .22 once you subtracted the ammo cost.

Like the JW-15, CZ452/455/457 magazines will work on it.

Also be ware that the JW-15/25 do NOT use CZ452 triggers and springs. Although they are a copied Brno No.2 (CZ452) action, the trigger linkage is greatly simplified. A CZ452 aftermarket trigger spring will NOT drop in. Neither will a cassette trigger bolt onto it. I found that out the hard way.
