Buy recommendations Ammo for TM22 Pro
What is the fav ammo of your TM22 or TM22 pro??
I have been using cci mini mag and have also tried velocitor. Having a hard time these days finding any that are not hollow points with copper tip.
It only likes copper tips, but the last range day it got a little emotional on me for the rest of the day after my partner put a lead tip through it. After that it was jam after jam after jam...
Help?

Mine shoots federal blue box almost religiously, zero issues

Which is funny, because all I've heard is to avoid federal blue box like it's the plague.

All my .22lr love the federal blue box. (Knock on wood) I have yet to have any issues.

I shoot it almost exclusively and it's been fine in all my 22's.
Tm22, Savage 64, 10/22, the ol' cooey, none of them care about it lol

Mine hates Federal blue box. It James up in the magazine. I can only load 5 rounds.

I can load a full 25 rounder and it'll eat every bullet, I might have 1 dud every 150 rounds or so.

I'm still trying to figure that out myself. So far anything CCI has been good. I just went through a box of Winchester that I got to try, will not be doing that again.

Learned that the hard way too. Fail to fire, extremely bad fliers, etc. Have you tried Norma Tac? Should run well

For me it will only shoot CCI. Doesn’t matter the kind, but so long as it is CCI it’s good.

Same. Literally the only brand that works with mine as well. Even other brand high velocity rounds don’t work well.

My TM22 will shoot anything but Federal. I have tried a few types of federal, and they all jam up in the magazine.

Mines not to picky, but I noticed it ran flawlessly with the federal red box autmatch stuff

Aguila 40 grain is all mine gets. I get the odd failure to fire but I just reload those and they go bang the second time without fail. There is definitely a break in period.

Yep, definitely a break in period. The first 300 rounds I put through mine, I had 4 or 5 issues. The next 300 I only had one.

My TM22 loves CCI Target or Mini mags and Aguila
I use Aguila Hollowpoints all the time for Gophers

Regarding the jams - did it constantly stovepipe?

It did a couple of times, yes. Then a couple double feeds

Double feeds are usually the magazine, but I'd consider removing the left side extractor (next to the charging knob) if it continues to stovepipe. That resolved my stovepipes entirely.

Have put 10k rounds through my tm22 of almost every variety. Found it prefers 40gr blazer and cci mini mag/ar tactical more than anything for reliability and accuracy. Aguila super extra 40gr also has always ran perfect in it as well, just a bit less accurate at 100 yards in my particular rifle

22 semis have a reputation for being "picky" on ammo but that is bordering on ridiculous. A single plain lead projectile shouldn't be enough to scupper your rifle for the rest of the day. Mini mags and Velocitor is high quality and HV ammo, so I'm not surprised it runs well with those. My TM22 (aluminum/full l length handguard) runs like a sewing machine with blazer or CCI SV. I don't know if it would have fed SV initially as I switched once I had 2.5k+ of blazer through it.
What sort of failures are you having, round count, time since last cleaning, has the chamber been scrubbed and/or checked for a carbon ring, do you mark your magazines, etc?
