Stoked on how this Harley Davidson inspired pump action 12gauge shotgun came out. A custom Harley scroll design I made, paired with battleworn furniture!

Does it have half the power of other shotguns and leak oil everywhere?

Yea and everyone at the range has to stand behind you when they shoot so they know you’re tough

u/Moist-Wolverine-8531 Mar 12 '26

And anyone shooting European or Asian made firearms get the stink eye and some random muttering about 'muhrican jerbs.

Bro don’t take yourself so seriously. Ppl take the piss out of you, you take the piss out of ppl. Relax and enjoy life

24

u/Ok_Rush_246 Mar 12 '26

Either your Dyna is heavily modified or you like racing mopeds lol

15

u/CorsicanMastiffStrip Mar 12 '26

Yeah, a 700lb bike with like 80 horsepower won’t even walk dogs.

Easy bro, I love my road king but I can laugh at jokes.

I loved the south park episode about the Harley lifestyle and I grew up in it.

u/CorsicanMastiffStrip Mar 12 '26

The thing that HRFs misunderstand about the South Park episode is that it is making fun of the riders, not the bikes. Sure, there are many valid reasons to not buy a Harley, but if it’s the bike you want and the bike you like, go nuts! Who is anybody to tell someone “no”?

1

u/428522 Mar 12 '26

Oh I understood, and laughed through the whole thing as there was some truth in there.

Typical low condifidence Harley fanboy response.

All good buds! I love my softail but we gotta laugh at ourselves and each other sometimes.

u/CorsicanMastiffStrip Mar 12 '26

Nothing at all wrong with riding Harleys, even a Dyna, so long as you don’t go around talking about walking bikes that didn’t even know they were racing or just otherwise being a giant fαggοτ. Ducati is just as unreliable. The problem is often the rider, not the manufacturer.

Shit sorry boys! I’ve went my whole life not hearing the Harley jokes, I’ve been just going on thinking that Harley’s have been better than any other bike I’ve ridden and that’s quite a bit. Fack must I wrong. Haven’t watched South Park. Let me rephrase that comment; LMFAO that’s so funny!! It’s sounds loud and obnoxious like those slow noise makers too!”

But what if you drop it, is it hard to pick back up?

7

u/428522 Mar 12 '26

You gotta buy the optional crash bars to make it easier.

Heard a guy drop a Harley in the DQ parking lot. He fired it up then, kerplunk. Was sitting there in a tow truck eating a hot fudge sundae. They stood it up and it wouldn't start. I hate towing bikes so I was like "ahhh fuck" they got it going and I didn't have to tow it, thank fuck. DQ, home of the fuck up. Back in the day I watched a portly couple sitting on the tailgate of a brand new Chevy avalanche blow a tailgate cable. Everyone hanging out there was trying not to laugh.

3

u/jmodshelp Mar 12 '26

I too have had some weird breakdown tow experiences in a DQ parking lot. Maybe it is a bit cursed

2

u/rogerdodger2022 Mar 12 '26

I dont know that I would be able to stop myself from laughing lol

15

u/PlanetGuardian-42 Mar 12 '26

Huh, something else that converts cash directly into noise.

Well, I'm a 4 wheels only guy, so I shouldn't talk shit... But from what I hear it's no surprise the Harley crowd goes Remington instead of Mossberg.

1

u/TheRealTwooni Mar 12 '26

Ooooooooooooooo solid burn

-1

u/Jaded-Juggernaut-244 Mar 12 '26

I went through two Mossberg 500's that dumped unfired shells out every time I racked another in. There's been a ton of QC issues at both Mossberg and Remington over the last 2 decades.

I no longer own anything Mossberg.

3

u/CorsicanMastiffStrip Mar 12 '26

I still own my 88. I bought it years ago for trap and now I kinda like it so I don’t think I’ll ever be able to get rid of it. It boggles my mind how they were able to make that thing for less than $300.

2

u/Whispersfine Mar 12 '26

Well my brother, now it is

1

u/Jaded-Juggernaut-244 Mar 12 '26

What's funny is, the Mav 88's seemed to have fewer QC issues than the 500...which from a consumer perspective makes no sense. 590's seem less afflicted also. Who knows???

2

u/CorsicanMastiffStrip Mar 12 '26

Gift horses, I suppose.

0

u/Jaded-Juggernaut-244 Mar 12 '26

Most likely.

My 870 was a jam-o-matic. Had to grind and polish the chamber. Should have never been required, but that's the way of it today it seems. I keep that spot well oiled, it's fine.

It's my go to gun. Truck gun, camp gun, track down a bear in the bush gun. It's been flawless and reliable, going on almost 2 decades.

2

u/therowdyirishman Mar 12 '26

Bummer, sorry to hear that. Did you take a look at the shell catch/release system? I've owned a 500 20" and 590 14" build over the last 10 years and both ran great for me. IMO Mossy has too many advantages (esp for a tactical shotgun) to pass up on. Plus they continue to update their designs and offer modern features like MLOK forends.

I've "graduated" to a 1301 Tactical now. What have you moved on to?

0

u/Jaded-Juggernaut-244 Mar 12 '26

The 1301 is def on the list, hoping it doesn't make Ottawa's list first.

I moved to an 870 Super Mag that required some love to make it work properly, but that was 15+ years ago. Also, a Benelli SuperNova (14") and a budget 24" autoloader for upland game.

The 870 is my go-to, though.

u/Much_Relationship445 Mar 12 '26

This is an awesome Pride Month piece!

7

u/AssignmentPutrid3197 Mar 12 '26

Im not a harley guy at all but these is incredibly well done

1

u/RebelTechCoatings Mar 12 '26

Thanks man, appreciate it!

1

u/numbdigits Mar 12 '26

I feel the same way. I like the look, but would prefer the color scheme without the Harley promotion. Regardless, it looks very well done.

7

u/sturmfuqerfartmcgee Mar 12 '26

Should have been a 590a1 because they're heavy and useless

5

u/plasticproducts Mar 12 '26

I'm convinced Harley guys care more about accessorizing than riding motorcycles

3

u/Response-Cheap Mar 12 '26

When are they going to find time to admire or shoot the thing though, they're busy fixing their bikes.

3

u/Ok-Turnover4223 Mar 12 '26

When you shoot it does it go "potato... rack, potato... rack, potato"?

3

u/SteveCastGames Mar 12 '26

Hot damn! I’ve been looking for a way to show my friends of expansive habit that that I’m into another expensive habit!

Jokes aside and whatnot, that gun does look good.

1

u/RebelTechCoatings Mar 12 '26

Haha, thanks!!

2

u/MourningWood1942 Mar 12 '26

That looks great, how did you get the paint looking like that?

1

u/RebelTechCoatings Mar 12 '26

A mixture of different techniques from hand distressed to laser etching

6

u/CorsicanMastiffStrip Mar 12 '26

Harley jokes aside, you did do an amazing job on that.

5

u/Acc4Wtf Mar 12 '26

There's seriously a vile attitude in this sub. You posted something really cool that you actually modified yourself. The response? Negative. When you point out the negativity, they double-down.

. It looks great man, you should be proud of yourself. Yet these same haters pat eachother on the back on every daily/weekly "sHoUlD i gEt a 10/22, TM22, SKS or M500/590?" post.

. God forbid someone actually posts a photo of their original work. It's easy to criticize, I'd like to see them try. Your posts and others like it make this sub worth visiting, keep it up.

2

u/RebelTechCoatings Mar 13 '26

It’s good knowing there are still humans like yourself left around here. I put a lot of work into creating something, from scratch not copying an idea, only to be torn on by guys sitting on their useless ass.

As Canada keeps getting worse off, so does the mentality and the way most are acting to one another. I get it, a lot of these comments are from guys forced to live back in mom’s basement and they’re unhappy, but being then shittier to everyone else I can assure you isn’t the damn way, nor will make their own situations better.

You’re a legend, I appreciate the comment more than you know 👊

2

u/dcmontage Mar 12 '26

Work of art

2

u/RebelTechCoatings Mar 12 '26

Thank you! 👊🤘

1

u/Moist-Wolverine-8531 Mar 12 '26

Is that a BL18/Hawk982?

1

u/dumpbear2813 Mar 14 '26

Whoever did that significantly decreased reliability and reduced resale value of that firearm by 50%.
