Application / Regulation advice Backland Hunter FRT
Can anyone confirm with knowledge if a crusader arms backland hunter has been submitted for a FRT? Maybe perhaps a resticted model, or I remember with the crypto that marster or some other company had submitted one.
Just curious, please no comments about don’t need frt blah blah. I won’t to know if anyone knows of one being submitted or not.

I learned that your better off waiting for an frt then not. Atleast if it’s designated NR then you wait for libs to oic it.

Haha. Nope they don’t need an OIC, as the frt can be changed anytime without due process. Take a look at the N4S shotgun.

N4S, ATRS modern rifles, Derya MK12.... and countless others. Felt like every other week for the first year after the 2020 OIC they were editing the FRT to "make" more prohibs.

FRT? the arbitary RCMP ban list refrence table? I hope no Canadian guns ever get to that chopping list ever

You know that the Liberals can override the FRT at any moment, right?
For example, the RCMP decided that the GSG-16 is perfectly legal as it's not a variant of a prohibited firearm (MP5). So the Liberals created a new prohibited paragraph to overrule that and ban the GSG-16 by name instead.
Even if the FRT makes everything non-restricted today, Gary "RPAL" Public Safety himself can override it at the stroke of a pen.

For the sake of anyone buying one, I hope not. Cause they'll probably ban it.

An FRT is only really valuable for imported firearms, as they effectively can't enter our market without one. However, recent events suggest the FRT can be changed on a whim, so that value is minimal even if there is one.
Use armalytics.ca to browse the FRT to see although it's not immediately updated.

The FRT isn't any kind of protection. If the liberals want it banned, they tell the rcmp boys to do it.
Even if there was one, they can just flip it's status overnight via a name ban. Or they declare it a variant.
There's literally no standard. If you want it. Buy it.
That being said, I wouldn't support crusader in any capacity given their previous problems.

What difference does it make? If it got submitted for an FRT, it’ll inevitably get banned as an AR variant. If it didn’t get submitted for an FRT, it’ll get banned by OIC when the Liberals do the next round of bans; which, considering they’re about to get their majority government, probably isn’t too far away.
