News / Politics / Activism Saskatchewan Proposed Gun Buyback law -- how do I bring this to my province?

I love Runkle's synopsis of the proposed law in Saskatchewan (and how they are handling things). How do I convince the premier of my province (Ontario) to do the same?

Writing letters has never worked in the past. Is perhaps naming them on twitter or some other form of social pressure a method of making them take notice?

Alberta banning books is limiting free speach. Covid mandates were enforced provincially, so take your pick. The emergencies act was horrible to use. Harper started the expansion of the TFW program and increasing immigration. Also see my initial disclaimer of the LPC not being liberal since you can't seem to differentiate between Party and Theology.

Is Alberta prohibiting the sale, purchase, possession, and use of books? If not, it isn't a ban and does not limit free speech. Our Charter Rights are negative, not positive. This means that the State may not take away your platform of speech (personally-owned books), but is not required to provide you a platform at public expense (books in a public school library). https://www.constitutionalstudies.ca/2019/07/positive-and-negative-rights/

The needle mandates for air and rail travel, federally-regulated industries (1), entry into Canada (2), Federal Public Service (3), and Canadian Armed Forces (4) were all at the federal level.

The Conservatives under Harper may have expanded the TFW program, but the LPC, after criticising it, allowed it to explode (5). The TFW is only part of the immigration problem; there are also thousands of refugee claimants that have been let in under the LPC without proper vetting (6).

I don't care about your initial disclaimer, as I didn't read it. I responded to your claim of "They're banning books," which you have again failed to substantiate.

Sorry, "they're banning certain groups from having access to certain items for ideological reasons". Oh wait that kind of sounds like the gun bans, doesn't it? If you're basing your opinion on charter rights, I have bad news about your right to property, such as firearms.
