Buy recommendations We can get 25 rd 10/22 mags again now??
The ruger charger is effectively banned as the libs cucked the handguns. So now that its not available that makes the 1022 normal capacity mags available again right?

Not a lawyer: The Charger pistol is still legally classified as Restricted. The Charger pistol was never really "commonly available" nor in common use before the handgun ban, but same could have been said about the LAR-15 "pistol". That said, the LAR-15 is now legally classified as prohibited, and no longer commonly available so theoretically we could see ourselves in a situation after the amnesty expires where LAR-15 mags that have 6+ (10) rounds will become prohibited devices while the current cap on 10/22 mags will remain in effect.

In a similar vein, what are your thoughts on potential mag capacity changing for mags that are compatible between semi center fire and bolt/ straight pull/etc. once (if) the amnesty ends for all the prohib semis?

Unlikely. They aren't prohibiting semi-automatic firearms officially, they are banning "assault style" firearms. They never have and never will define that as anything more than "what we decide is an assault rifle".
They won't open up magazine capacity, because 1) there are still semis on the market that use stanag mags 2) they might want to ban more guns later don't want to encourage you to own them 3) bill c21 is supposed to prohibited "high capacity" mags that have been restricted 4) the government hate guns and their owners and will always add more convoluted laws. They aren't ever going to do thing that make things better for us in any way.

There are also still bolt actions that use stanag mags. I quite like my Ruger American Predator with LAR mags, more dead coyotes and less mag changes.

There have been prohibited handguns for years with 5+ round capacities.
Just because it isn't "commonly available" doesn't mean it would turn LAR 15 magazines into AR15 magazines.
People consistently and persistently misunderstand how the charger pistol and Lar pistol magazine capacities work.

"Commonly available" is literally one of the conditions needed for a handgun to have a capacity of more than 5 rounds (Runkle Video). The difference is that those prohibited handguns are still in circulation and legally permitted by 12(6)/12(7) holders to continue owning them and using them at the range. As of October, the same cannot be said about any LAR-15 "pistols," which the government expects to be turned in or destroyed by then.

Oh i know, i have a couple! they're great and i recommend them to others. It's just that I have some old factory actions collecting dust that i wouldn't mind bringing new life to lol.

Dlask seemed to be the main supplier of the TUFF mags so that option is gone unless someone else picks up the ball.
Your adapter is great but the 3 mags bound up after 5 rounds. It's too bad you don't have one for gsg16 mags ;) ;)

Bummer. Well I can certainly appreciate you guys putting in the effort. I just wished that I could have won the mag lottery lol.
Glad to hear that someone is picking up the ball with ipsic mini rifle being a thing now. Id love to run a 1022 platform but a 10 round mag would be a considerable disadvantage.

Where do you figure Alder got the idea to adapt the RF-224 to 597s? AND for all intents and purposes, their mags 1mm wider than BXs are proprietory. Why wouldn't they just copy the BX 15s and 25s, but 1 mm wider? More aftersales money in it for them....

Try the Shooting Federation of Canada website. You can also find a directory for local clubs that participate in shooting sports and ISSF matches there, along with information on gaining an exemption letter.
Find a pellet airgun club or a .22 club in your area at a local range and say hi. Someone might be able to point you in the right direction.

Bx-25: designed and advertised for charger and 10/22, ergo considered hi cap pistol magazine and prohibited device.
Butler creeks 'hot lips': designed and advertised for 10/22 only, high capacity .22 rimfire magazine, legal.Â

The handguns are still able to be taken to the range and used if you owned them prior to the ban, so I donât really see how that will affect anything.

Forgive my ignorance but, are mags over 10 round capacity in .22lr illegal now? Or just the same as before if they cross platform to a pistol they are banned?

Mags themselves are not banned, they are pinned to 10 rounds now.

I just looked it up and it says:
Exemptions: Rimfire magazines that cannot fit a pistol do not have a capacity limit.
