Milsurps / Prohib What ever happened to the owners of the x95 MSW?
This is assuming they didn’t hand it in to local law enforcement and they never sent it back to north sylva for a full refund. Is anyone still fighting this in court?

I have a feeling most people just complied, since these guns were all registered as restricted unless they were rebarrelled…

Some dismantled the bits and pieces, then sold them to get some money back. Then they surrendered the rifles. (The thin buttplate was very desirable).
Some were able to return them to the seller for a refund/store credit (this process took months).
For the 1st group above, some where unlucky because they bought from a private seller.
For the 2nd group, some were ordered from a retailer, who were forced to be a third party to the sale, and had to contact the importer before they could take back or issue a refund/credit.
I'd imagine a handful lucky ones escaped to the US - or barring that, the importer resold them to the US.
I've seen a deactivated one show up on Gunbroker for sale in the US, and the metal bits were blowtorched into a mangled mess...
Also during the debacle, I've read people saying they were gonna fight it in court, or do a group case - but im 99% sure none went through successfully.

I had one. Got the revocation letter and RCMP showed up at my door to pick it up.
Before I handed it in I took out the clamshell aluminum receiver and kept all the rest as a parts kit. I foresee the value of these kits to go no where but up I figure, and I was right.
After careful examination, if any of you were wondering, these are full auto capable. Five seconds with a Dremel or a hex key would have made them go brrrrt. The trigger pack was auto with trip lever, selector was 3 position (with a set screw to stop auto), clamshell had auto bolt grooves and bolt had auto trip wings.
As much as I hate out laws, these should not have been brought into the country. I put blame on the importer for taking the word of the exporter.

My buddy had his converted to NR and according to him there was a few. However with the pal verification requirements in place in 2023, it’s not surprising they were turned in and I don’t blame anyone for not holding out.

They're talking about the converted auto ones, no? Those ones couldn't be changed to NR.

Before they were deemed converted autos it was treated just like any Sbr. Aztec Armory had the 18.5 inch barrel kits with hand guard.

Bought a Canuck operator and a Ruger scout rifle with a vortex scope with the money I got back from the store. I still wish I had the x95. Store credit came in around the time of Christmas sales.

I believe only around 180 were brought into the country, but could be wrong. The importer was issuing store credit at the store that they were purchased at. You could also get it de-activated and that was covered by them too. Another option was to surrender it. Since they were restricted, you really had no other option unless you fought it in court. I personally had one, and even had the CFP call me a month later and asked what I had done with it, so they did follow up. Super cool and fun guns, I wish I had the chance to take it out more.
