Looks like the Aim 2-7x32 long eye relief scope. A few companies more reputable than Aim make scopes for pistols or scout rifles or top-ejecting lever actions that have ~9" eye relief. The purpose of having them on scout rifles is so you can load from the top with stripper clips or one-by-one, so putting one on a semi auto is kind of questionable.

It was OK on the 14, it works well now on my Brazilian Mauser now.

Had a lot of trouble trying to mount a scope on an M14 as well. Tried 3 different mounts and a few different scopes and just could not hold a zero. Problem is the casings eject upwards and keep hitting the mount.
