Shooting Sunday Gunday - Ruger M77

Older tang-safety model in 300winmag. It was my late father’s and I try to put some rounds through it for his sake when I can. Canadian Tire generously had some PPU 300WM on for $30/box so out it came for some shooting.

Very cool, I've never shot one of the older tang safety models but I have a newer M77 Guide Gun, love the action.

It cycles super nice. There were a couple of guys sharing a 30-30 lever at the range that day. I gave them each a shot with it and they all had smiles and laughs after their turn.

The lack of modern muzzle brakes or a heavy chassis gives you a good push on the bench without a rear hitting concussive wave. You feel it, but it’s not offensive.
