Feets / Collection / My build CZ 600 Trail
Applied some upgrades to my Trail (cope gun?)
-Eotech 1-6 Vudu w/ Scalarworks mount
-G-Ten picatinny stock adapter
-Airsoft folding stock (nicer one on the way)
-BCM gunfighter vert grip
-MDT Arca rail (for my tripod)
-Holosun Iris 3
-American Defense MQD mount for my P-Falcon640
-Bren 2 muzzle break, forget where I got that from

Your new stock gonna have a different comb height? That’s quite the chin weld going on but I like the looks of the rest of it.

That spot allows you to mount it without cutting the bolts on the grip, moving anything out further needs much shorter bolts due to the clearance available around the barrel

Advertised as a guaranteed 2 MOA but I have been able to get 1.5 pretty consistently with one

The one I was shooting was 7.62x39, but yes, CZ generally has marketed the trail as a 2 MOA gun, even with 223/5.56 or 300blk

I’m getting 1.5 MOA with Chinese surplus in 7.62. I’ve shot some nicer groups with S&B ammo, but not enough to say it’s consistently an 1 MOA shooter.
I got rid of the folding stock on mine and put an AR stock on mine though. Way too much slop in the folder for my liking.

Thats about the same as my 2 m77 scouts. In 223 would make for a fun looking yote rifle.

Which is kinda embarrassing for a modern bolt action rifle. My Ruger ranch gen 2 does about 1.25" at 100 meters

Exactly, it's one thing if you had a semi auto and it got 2 moa, that's about expected. But if 2 seperate examples of wk 180 can get under an inch at 100 meters with 69 SMK's and a bolt action CZ can't do that... then thats embarrassing

CZ designed this thing to be a backpacking gun, 2moa is fine for that purpose. The other CZ600 models can do sub moa.

Okay but I can slap my ruger american ranch into a light weight chassis with folding stock and it will be better than what the CZ is...
Thats not an excuse still, it's a modern made bolt action rifle, if it's not doing an moa or better theres an issue, dirt cheap rugers and Savages group better than 2moa, it"@ not an auto loader, even then a WK 180 would do moa with 69 grain match kings. Theres no excuse

I know old thread here, but could you elaborate on which light weight chassis you would toss a ruger american ranch into? I'm exploring a lightweight rifle for training purposes and that might fit the bill

I'm a fan of the MDT products, I have an MDT LSS-XL on a .270 remington 700 and an LSS gen 2 on a Bergara in .308. They have released their LSS gen 3 which is a much more modular system and you can get that one quite light with the right options of course so that would be my go to
Currently I'm split between an LSS gen 3 or a laminate stock for my gen 2 ranch. The LSS is nice because it takes AR interface pistol grips and I'm fairly sure they now offer it with a 1913 interface for the stock so you could throw a buffer tube adaptor and a CTR stock or something on it

Some people with more experience shooting the 600 Trail think the accuracy problems stem from collapsible stock being loose when extended. Hopefully the G-Ten stock adapter helps with this issue.

Heya! Like 5k rounds through my trail, probably closer to 6k since I've been going hard on drills this last month.
It comes from people not locking up the stock into their shoulder properly. I run the 7.62 trail and get 0.75" groups with SST handloads/federal power-shok at 100 yards, 1.5 with surplus. Still running the collapsing stock.
You need to apply a bit of angular torque to the grip (pull it back and upward slightly so the stock is held firmly) and it's a non-issue. A vertical grip helps but I haven't run one in a long time since I got rid of mine once I got the hang of it.

Dig the Stock, I'm sticking with the factory one on my Trail. But I think yours looks good. You like the stock adapter? Did it make a big difference when you swapped it?

Looks good. Are you still getting a slight wobble on the folder? I have spent a stupid amount chasing a zero wobble folding solution.

Nice build! I've kept mine mostly stock with a sling, but I'll be adding a foregrip soon. I absolutely love this rifle with 62gr (no green tip!) to 77gr ammunition.
