Old Soviet art has a definitely cool factor to it. Soviet behaviour during those times is definitely not cool. Haha

What you don’t enjoy gulags? And starving? And forced labour? And political executions? Oh and the state spying on its own people? How can you say it’s not cool!?!?!?

Well when you put it that way!!

I joke with my family: "Hey, should I buy a shotgun made by a guy making 30 bucks a month?". I am partially Ukrainian, so hate for the soviets is ingrained in me.

What you are describing is capitalist America in 2026, comrade.

Sounds like what the LPC wants

forced labor?

I wouldn’t be surprised. Soon the incentive to work will be so diminished they’ll have to resort to something to keep their grift going

Are you sure you're not talking about the US here

US has a much better income to cost of living ratio

Don't ask US health insurance companies why are they making record profit

Not sure what that has to do with what I said. Sounds like we’re in Canada and I critique the Liberals and you’re desperate to make it about the US. I’m interested in how old you are and how you vote.

Indeed. I've got a few albums of the Red Army Chorus on vinyl, and it gives me goosebumps when I put it on.

Funny for all the anti-communist talk most Canadian gun owners on the conservative side often push, their recommended prepper rifle is the often freedom of choice in the Chinese SKS.

I always found it ironically funny that, they could speak with both sides of the mouth without seeing what's ahead of them.

Yet the Soviet seniors in Eastern Europe still will say it was better.

Remember when these sold for $99.

In 2020 when you could buy two of them for $200.

I am still pissed that I missed the Tenda clearance sale in the weeks before C21. Tokarevs were 2 for 199.

CZ before the cost cutting models

I'd love to find one of those original Norinco boxes.

My experience is they generally come in a generic brown cardboard box….

But if you want to talk about gun graphic design, pre WW2 Iver Johnson advertising is the GOAT.

I mean... the one pictured is actually pretty slick & retro. As much as i dont like China, noricno is kinda based

Couldn't agree more. Solid manufacturer

What of Taurus?

That packaging screams 80s rad lol

I got an used Winchester model 94 made in the 80s from the local store, and it even comes with its own original cardboard box that got a bit of humidity damage.

Needless to say, immediately oil the firearm and place it in the safe with rest of the collection.

Then wrap the cardboard in a clear garbage bag and neatly tuck on the side where it's humidity control.

The box design is nice and you still get that old style smell that come along with it.

Part of my retro collection now.

That Norinco design almost looks like a Stapler design from the 70s.

Q if you ever bought their guns have some pretty cool boxes

1

u/KalashnikovParty Mar 08 '26

i love how most notices are just some of the most sturdy firearms you’ll ever own but packaged and shipped out in boxes that look no different from those used for cheap plastic toys

I’m just gonna leave some interesting memory here. Don’t quote me if I’m wrong.

In China, bb pistols are used to be legal. Both the real and bb T54 shares the same plastic foam packaging.

Lol like seriously who cares

10

u/Any_Wind655 Mar 07 '26

You sound fun

-17

u/Routine_Chest_1171 Mar 07 '26

Like seriously u buy something cause the box looks good not cause the product is good an made from quality parts.

10

u/brewski_tumble Mar 07 '26

I think they're saying it's a neat little bonus, not that they're selecting firearms based on the design of the packaging...

9

u/Any_Wind655 Mar 07 '26

All the post said was which brands or guns have the coolest packaging? Where are you extrapolating all this extra meaning from?

-14

u/Routine_Chest_1171 Mar 07 '26

Thats my point its jus a box who cares

6

u/lagavulinski Mar 07 '26

I guess you don't care about boxes, but you care enough to comment

-2

u/Routine_Chest_1171 Mar 07 '26

1

u/TheRealTwooni Mar 07 '26
